just a reminder nobody uses java on the web anymore. nobody.

edit!!! (i did an edit nto a dp)

chrome is not as fast as google claim

their benchmark focuses on recursive scripts and not real-world benchmarks.

Its still faster then the other browsers. (not including safari in one test)
(Although probably not really that noticeable unless you've just switched from a really terrible browser, ie6 or something)

Also that is a shit ton faster in recursion.

no theres a gray square now that is in <textarea> elements that will let you resize them. the functionality you are referring to the long gray bar on the bottom of the textarea.

oh ok I see what you mean, ya that's actually pretty cool.

edit: aside from the wow cool factor, It usually just messes up the layout. :S

HOLY SHIT I just noticed you can resize text input boxes on the fly. Just drag the lower right corner thing. That's so cool.

that's just the quick reply thing. You can do that with any browser.  :fogetlaugh:

edit: nvm I am mistaken! I apologize.

It's beta 0.2 but that whole thing is irrelevant because google keep their shit "beta" for like 5 years

some of the complaints aren't that minor either since flash support is SO FUCKED UP on this browser and it still crashes the whole browser not just one tab most times I've tried it with the latest version

I don't think anyone's being that hostile

edit: another complaint I got is I can't play wow with this open like I can firefox/opera because it keeps DOING THINGS without it telling me to and fucks my framerate into the ground

you probably crashed the plugin. You should be able to just exit the plugin instead. (Shift+Esc)

Also I've never experienced this before. And yeah it's lacking a lot of stuff but it became public like 2 days ago, so give it some time.

Ironically I wanted to hate this browser when I first installed it.

Edit: HL do you know about everything you're talking about, or are you just reading off stuff from the fantabulous comic.
Edit2: Hey I just noticed tabs to the same site are interconected.

Hotmail isn't as popular anymore afaik. Everyone uses like gmail, etc. I haven't seen a hotmail address in some time.

Also understand they tested out all the sites through bots, and might not have tested out hotmail yet, or something. It'll clear up soon imo...

They can't test sites that need actual accounts.

Plus microsoft is pretty dumb for having a built in check that doesn't let you continue anyways and just give a warning that it might be broken.

I don't know why people sayt his doesn't make sense. Does Marvel vs capcom make sense?

marvel heroes aren't ridiculous and capcom games are usually kickass.

I don't know if this makes it any easier or whatever but you could cut your defense in half and it would have the same effect.
Doing stuff in-game to make it harder is personally more satisfying though.

I have to agree with the others on pidgin.
It's great.

Pounces are actually pretty useful sometimes.

Eh may as well give this a try. I've been wanting to try it out for a while anyways.
Edit: Is there anything I should know before I enter the game? (some irc channel to go to, or someone to whisper in game or something)

That is pretty obviously what he meant! Fossil fuel. Air isn't fuel! Well, it is here. But a lot of gas stations still have free air pumps (a lot don't, because they are jerks, but whatever!).

I foresee powerful private air compressors for sale for cheap in the near future.

Air is fuel. :<
Just cause it's easily accessible doesn't mean it isn't.

Didn't mean to criticize him anyways.

I think it's pretty incredible they can have these out by as soon as 2010. Usually they say something like "IN THE FUTURE/EVENTUALLY".

Edit: Solar powered/Air powered hybrid would be so kickass.

The really amazing thing about this car is that it doesn't consume fuel if you're traveling below 35mph. Use this car just to drive around town and you'll never need to stop at a gas station again.

erm what no not at all.

It consumes fuel if you are traveling below 35mph, the compressed air is the fuel.
The thing is, it needs petroleum to travel above 35mph.

What are they up to?

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/7558593.stm

Quote from: BBC
There are reports of looting in Gori, as Russian military vehicles patrol the streets in and around the Georgian town.

A convoy of Russian vehicles has been seen on the road to Tbilisi, but Russia and a Georgian minister deny it is heading for the capital.

The last level is so godly. Although I do not have an xbox and patiently await the pc version. I couldn't help myself but spoil myself to see it. It is really really awesome.

My god, usually I just look at these things and forget about it, but when it comes from MIT, that's a little bit harder to look away from. This is fantastic news!

That's true, but do you think it's a good idea to stay in the console market without making profit and to fuel this with the money they make by selling lcd tvs and shit? They could do this yeah, but it's not worth it.

Their psp sales are doing fine so...I really doubt they are going to leave the console market any time soon.
