I didn't know what to expect out of this series when I started watching it, and it's become my favourite show this season (in fact, out of the series I'm currently following, it's the only one that I feel compelled to download speedsubs of). Basically, it's damn fun, as Kaworu said. Often, I find myself smiling or laughing along at how simultaneously ridiculous and awesome a scene is.

One thing I've really loved about the latter episodes is the way they've handled the Dai-Gurren: .

I'm really looking forward to the major timeskip, which would hopefully be next episode now that this arc is over, but judging by the preview it's probably just a recap episode. Just in case anyone hasn't seen the timeskip scans yet, here they are. .

Episode 15 was amazing. I love this show.
Episode 15 didn't actually impress me as much as 13 and 14, but that was mainly because I was hoping for more exposition about humans and beastmen.

I'm a Goro Taniguchi fanboy (loved Infinite Ryvius, Planetes), so I guess by extension that makes me a bit of a Code Geass fanboy. I acknowledge that it is pretty much pulp fiction and the plot development isn't quite fluid, but it's very entertaining nonetheless. Regardless of whether you thought Episode 22 was tripe or brilliant, Episode 23 was extremely solid (probably the best episode so far), and I can't wait for the last two episodes of the first season.

EDIT: Also, I love this picture:

My point is that it's the only explanation the author gave, and if he didn't want you to think that's THE explanation, why did he give it in the first place? I can understand where you are coming from, but situations like that usually stem from when the show gives absolutley no explanation for things. (I do believe your thoughts have a heavy basis, but in order for them to work and make sense, the writing will have to reach a whole new level, which I doubt Bleach is capable of)

I mean, to give something a perfectly reasonable and logical explanation, only to take it away in favor of pulling a random plot point out of thin air. Yes I consider that bad writing where I come from.

Did you read my post? Pulling random plot points out of thin air is what Kubo has been doing so far.

I thought he implanted it into the Gigai, which he then gave to Rukia.

That's never explicitly stated, though (unless I missed something...). The impression I got from Aizen's explanation was that Urahara implanted it in Rukia soon after creating and failing to destroy it, which would be long before Rukia came to the real world. Of course, this alone wouldn't be sufficient, so he created the Gigai to hide Rukia, and when she depleted her powers giving them to Ichigo, Urahara finally had an excuse to give her the Gigai.

I thought the Hougyoku wasn't in Rukia until she got the gigai from Urahara, which was after Ichigo had already received shinigami powers.

I'm pretty sure it's never stated that the implantation of the Hougyoku occured when Rukia entered the modified Gigai, just that Urahara did at one point implant the Hougyoku, and that the purpose of the Gigai was to hide Rukia. Otherwise, that would mean that Urahara had only just recently concealed the Hougyoku, which doesn't make much sense considering he made it back when he was still a captain.

First of all, the reason for Ichigo's hybridization has never been a major issue or point of mystery in the anime. Because Kubo isn't drawing any attention to it, most people assume that it isn't of much consequence, and logically deduce that his Hollow half must have developed during Urahara's training.

However, if you look at how Kubo has been writing Bleach so far, you'll see that there really isn't much of a basis to that assumption, because he seems to pull random plot details and twists out of thin air. Remember the Huge Hollows that attacked Hinamori's class, or the Hollow that fused with Kaien? There was never any need to question where they came from (just as there doesn't seem to be a need to question where Ichigo's Hollow half came from), yet along comes Aizen to explain to everyone that he was actually behind all of that.

Basically, I have a feeling that there's more to Ichigo's hybridization than it seems. Incidentally, there's a theory that it has something to do with the Hougyoku being inside Rukia when she first gives Ichigo Shinigami powers...

I have a backlog of stuff I need to watch before getting back into Bleach, so I'll probably just skip the rest of the fillers even though I am a bit of a completist. .

Looking for an old game where the aim was to manufacture robots. You had a quota and in each level you had to try and build the robots according to the specifications, such as being a certain colour. Sometimes the torso and legs needed to be different colours. I'm pretty sure it was side-view, and you controlled the various parts of the factory or whatever. I also remember something about parachutes, but that's all...
