My worst memory was when I got into a fight with my friend because he was on crack and I told him we weren't going to be friends anymore.

Ah this sucks Spotify is not available in Canada.

I was going to add some nice songs for the coming winter months where the stars seem brighter.

And this one because halloween is coming soon and this fits it in both rhythm and the Album art

The Year is RM.2003 under the drunken rule of King Bartek Gniado the Salt World had seen untold amounts of violence clashes between good and evil, It was a chaotic and destructive place where evil oppressed the meek and a high call for heroes was as necessary as food and water.

That is until the year RM.2000 when surprisingly and suddenly the drunken King Bartek was overthrown by a powerful nameless individual, all of his governors and lords clashed underneath this new ruler until finally a new bureaucratic order had taken over underneath the iron grip of the individual now calling himself the Imperius Sodius. All manner of Villains, Monsters, Heroes, and treasure hunters found themselves replaced and regulated into this new society, the Imperius's armies killed those too evil to comply, boarded up all of the dungeons and filled all of the caves with cement. Now those who staked their claim to high adventure eek out a living in the lesser salt mines just barely scraping by while those with professional trades and the ability to work long office nights prosper without any monsters to terrorize them.

That is until today, there is talk of a rebellion against the boring and uptight buracracy heroes and villains alike joining forces to rebuild the world they once knew, a world filled with traps, plunder, dungeoneering, and promiscuous damsels to screw!
WILL YOU FIGHT AGAINST THE EVIL BUREAUCRACY FORMER HERO/VILLAIN/MONSTER? OR WILL YOU REGULATE YOURSELF TO LIVING WITHIN THE CAVERNS OF THE SALT WORLD UNTIL YOUR LIVES END PREMATURELY AND YOU BECOME A MUMMY!? (A salt Mummy)

Rules:
You can be literally anything within reason, all Wizards of the coast official books are useable for source material (That is stuff like Players handbook 2, Libris Mortis, Dragonimicon, Savage species.etc) aslong as it follows a few simple rules
1. Stats when determining stats roll 4d6 6 times discounting the lowest roll I trust you enough that I don't need to see you roll
2. You start at ECL 3 ECL means effective character level so for instance if you wanted to be a Gnoll, or something with 2-3 HD (Hit dice) that would be 2 or 3 ECL without having an actual character class yet (So you could say be a Gnoll ranger lvl 1 but you'd still be as tough as a third level character)
3.Give me a good background about who you are, minimal 1 paragraph, anything you put in it IS CANON. Though this a mostly satirical fantasy i take RP seriously enough to improvise around the backgrounds of your characters, just don't go overboard :P .

Some insight on the Salt world, technology wise it leans on towards Victorian era technology but it is not outright steampunk and should not be considered as that. It has a crystalline roof and is very much like a large cave, there is no natural daylight all light is a mirror reflection from the magma core of the salt world that is regulated to reflect in various spots across the world to maintain a regular day night cycle.

It is also filled with a lot of drunks, all races/creatures exist within the Salt world most have been integrated into society in some way it wouldn't be uncommon to say see Centaur and Duergar and Goblins walk into the same bar at the same time.

As for the party I don't care if you're all spell casters or all melee classes or all one thing or if there is too much of anything, that doesn't matter to me what matters to me is that there is a minimal of 4 players and a maximum of 5, and that you create a character enjoyable to you don't feel obligated to play a tank, healer, or whatever unless you like the idea of being that then by all means kick some ass!

I'm leaning towards running this game at Saturday at 6pm CST on alternate nights from my Pokemon game, so we'll probably average 2-3 sessions a month which is pretty good, I may also run them on sunday until my gurps group picks up at the same time, we will also be using Skype and Maptools 1.3B87 which you can download here

Other than that any other questions feel free to post away I look forward to playing with you!

EDIT: I'm adding links to all source material to 3.5 in general in addition an internet character sheet website and a dice roller, if you've never played before and want to I will help you just ask.

Character sheets(Requires you to make an account but it saves a lot of work with auto calculation): http://www.dndsheets.net/sheet.php
Torrent to all 3.5 books

Well this comic has everything you've mentioned but it's a very interesting story about a nerdy guy who gets sucked into a strategy game of his own creation.

give it a shot

and Tales of the Abyss

Haha this is awesome I really enjoy reading your posts.

I should probably get onto IRC sooner or later, I'd like to play in a game for once since I'm usually stuck Dming :P (Not that I really mind)
I don't have a lot of physical table top games, I got Donkey kong Jenga, an army of Tyranids and then my old 3.5 D&D books, and AD&D

Recently I've been DMing this http://1d4chan.org/wiki/Pokemon_Tabletop_Adventures It's pretty sweet I've been running the same group for almost a year now.

And don't think for a second they're just going around saving the world from Team rocket! they're in a post apocalyptic earth where humans are nearly extinct from a war they started and fought with Pokemon that ended up with the world being blasted back to the dark ages!

Hey anyone play Table tops around here, Pen and paper, War40k that sort of stuff?

I used to DM with a group of people in high school, we'd always play dungeons and dragons and stuff or whatever else we could get our hands on then we just kind of fell out.
now I run games on a virtual table top and Skype, its been pretty great so far.

What are your experiences with such pinnacles of gaming? (also Jenga counts! :P)

I haven't seen Corel around in ages and I'm sorry to say that Steel passed away a few years back.  Still, welcome back (I don't remember you but this is probably good because I mostly remember the people who were the worst).

Wow no way, that's terrible!

well I know people tend to change names a lot so what about the following, these are all the people I can recall off the top of my head at the moment.

Bart,Rpgoddess, Walugisoap, Chef boyardee, Kaworu, Wet blanket, Maikau(I think this was his name? he usually had a chocobo for an avatar)

Hmm, I remember mostly avatars it seems over other things but that doesn't help much. I do remember this one swedish guy that was on here and he always had this distinctive dancing avatar of himself, he was a really nice guy.
