The writings are actually readable. But I don't know what they mean.

Climbtree are you deciphering/interpreting, or is that because you know the comics?

Honestly, my guess is the artist, or even the author of the comics don't really know what the symbols meant either. They probably just found them symbols cool too, I thought they looked powerful and satanic.

And I do know stuff about chaos magick. That's why I don't take that too seriously.

Among all the things I expected to hear, I didn't expect that much superstition.

But thanks for the advice everyone. I still want help on knowing what those things means. I sent an e-mail to the artist Tim Bradstreet.

Sredni: I usually wear shirts.

U$1.500 would be a reasonable price for me. I live in Brazil, so prices are different, but I believe they would amount to the same.

That's nothing compared to what the guy who made Red Dragon's tattoo wanted to charge me for a replica... 20 grand.

I recognize some of the symbols as zodiac stuff. They're not satanic or anything.

And that's my point, I wanna know what they mean BEFORE I do the tattoo. And if I don't like what they mean, I'll use similar symbols from the same origin, following the same pattern, but with a different meaning.

As for the practical stuff, of course I think tattoos should be taken really seriously, so if I decide to permanently scar a huge chunk of my body like that, pain and price are the least of my worries.

I had no idea where to post it, so move it if necessary.

So I'm thinking about having a tattoo similar to this one on the cover of some Constantine Comics:

I don't have enough mystic knowledge to understand the origin of those symbols and drawings... does anyone? Because I don't need to have an exact copy of this one, just something on the same pattern. And I wanted something that made some sense, so I could customize the drawings and writings... as long as I knew a patter to follow.

Maybe someone who read the comics knows more about it. Does it have to do with Cabala, astrology, or what?

I made this topic for two reasons:

First, I'm advertising a friend's music. He just recorded his first CD, it's independent work, some sort of conceptual progressive rock (audio available on the site).

Feedback appreciated.

Second, I want ideas on how to spread the word... I mean, advertise more and better. My point (mine, don't know about his) is not really commercial, I just want people to listen. I was thinking about making a video on youtube with lyrics and static photo shoots... what do you guys think?

By the way, I just noticed the site's been hacked.  :fogethuh:

Let's see...

Joker (in B:tDK): I never read the comics... I never really liked him. But in the movie he was perfect. Not only because of Heath's performance, but because of his intelligence. Loved it.

Regina George (Mean Girls): Someone without any special powers that still manages to be a big threat to other people (in the movie's context), and even though everybody knows she's mean, everybody loves her. I like the whole concept.

Strange... I can't think of any others.

They have that on FFT for the PSP, don't they? Where you can take your party and face it off against someone else's via wireless?

I think you can do this on FFTA2 (for nintendo DS).

Actually, the file I was talking about is already a rulebook for the game. It's been made. But I wanted to make it more generic, removing things that are specific to the PSX game (like zodiac stuff, faith, etc.), and leaving it more generic. Maybe slight modifications.

And by board game, I meant a table top miniature-like game, not a computer game.

Anyway, here is the link to the file:

A mod suggested me to post this here, so...

I'm a big fan of the entire Final Fantasy Tactics series, and recently I found this huge doc file on the internet describing with precision and details the mechanics/mathematics of the game... information enough to turn it into a board game.

It should be pretty easy turning it into a board game, shouldn't it? Not only easy, but it wouldn't take away much of the game's fun. I mean, a videogame has animations, sounds and all... but the main fun factor of FFT is strategy, not animations.

Doing it would be basically writing a rulebook, a list of jobs (expandable), list of items (expandable), and doing the graphics. Graphics could be directly ripped from the game... visually, the game would look like any board game using paper miniatures.

So... before turning this into an actual project, what do you think?

I'm also a bit skeptical about mailing food. Once my cousin posted me a letter with a piece of crackers with cream cheese, and it never arrived.

But when I sent her crackers inside a plastic envelope, it did... so...

Ok, here are some stuff that are don't know if are originally Brazilian, but are common around here.

Pé-de-moleque (something like "kid's foot")
It's a sweet made of peanuts. Nice.

Rapadura (something like "hard to sweep")
Don't know what it's made off. But it's hard and tastes good. Usually home-made, never seen one of those for buying.

Goiabada
A sweet thing made of goaba. People usually eat it with cheese, but I don't like cheese.

Paçoca
Also made of peanuts. Very strong sweet taste.

Cocada
Made of coconut. Very nice.

I'll post when I remember more.

Irish chocolate is the best in the world. The only thing I brought from Dublin was chocolate.

I'm in.

I'm from Brazil. But I don't know what kind of unique weird stuff I could send. Food here is pretty regular... especially candy.

Sorry if this has been asked millions of times, but I swear it's making me nuts... when is FFTA2 for DS coming out? I don't understand why there isn't even a release date.

Does PS3 play all PS2 games? If not... which? Does it play Guitar Hero I, II and III? How about PS1 games?
