I've been using it since pre-release candidate and it's been great. Really clean interface and easy to use.

Hopping on the 3D bandwagon:

Needed more 3D, so I put in 10,000 of them (not all pictured) in there:

Hahaha! The cheesiness of the video is charming. Also, I really liked the song, it sounds nice.

Awesome! Though I managed to get myself stuck outside the screen with a combination of moving in that direction plus the knockback of the gun pushing me off.

edit: went back and beat the game again. Now I found myself humming the music that plays in the first level.

Neat! Is that a shader effect on the water or an animated texture?

Sometimes the mouse aiming screws up, but I don't know how to reproduce it exactly. It seems to happen sometimes if I make circles with the mouse very quickly around the character.

Not sure about this topic, but this demonstration of non-Euclidean geometry is pretty badass: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0pmSPlYHxoY

school sucks errybody knows that. I've only been to college for about half a year before I decided the degree would not be worth the paper it's printed on.

While the majority of what I was taught in university was stuff I already knew or stuff I would have eventually learned myself in my programming pursuits, I think it's great since I find myself with plenty of free time to self-teach without the draining hours of a full-time job (luckily my part-time job isn't tiring). It has provided me with some useful knowledge and steered me towards possible career paths. Besides, a degree is always an asset on a resume. The only problem is the debt, but fortunately for me, it's a small debt that can be paid off within a year of full-time employment.

Hey, this isn't a high school discussion about racism. Though to contribute to the current topic, I'm surprised that it took until about four or five years ago for Canada to change their age of consent from 14 to 16.

I'd have to say that Bastion is the best indie game of 2011. I also liked Costume Quest, but that was released in 2010 (2011 on PC).

Nah, just a local contest over at scirra forums, i was aiming to win the license prize (as construct 2 demo has sever limitations)..

Anyway, I was aware of Ludum Dare and I wasn't quite sure if it was alright to submit games made with 'game makers'. Most of what I see are hard coded or at least coded with libraries on 'real' programming languages.

Really? I've seen a lot of Game Maker entries and some Unity here or there. Lots of flash games as well. I don't think there are any restrictions on what programming language or game making software you use to make the game.
