I had never played it but I just got the Sega CD rom like two days ago so I am doing this now, I played maybe the first three minutes so far but I really like the way it's set up.  It's like a point and click adventure set up in a way where you can play it on a console without a dumb slow mouse pointer that is a pain to use.  It's way better than, say, playing Shadowgate, where it's a pain to even point at an item to pick it up.

Man, now I feel like replaying it again.

what's interesting, at least to me, is that even if you disagree with ARGs, you can't argue this is a bizarre choice. it's not just a countdown; whenever countdowns are used, they are either used with products you know are coming (ie wait till X for Halo 3!) or for products kept almost entirely in secret (the Segway). when you create a mystery about it, you enter the realm of the ARG, where people have to look around and match letters (see: This is My Milwaukee, which went nowhere btw).

but here the ARG can be solved by looking at the METATAGS. it means the only people this ARG cannot be solved by are people who would probably never go to the site to begin with! it's like rewarding your fans for putting in almost no work whatsoever.

Also man it really doesn't count much when you slap the word ARG right on it.  That seems like it RUINS THE WHOLE THING when you do that!  It's like if you were right in the middle of a movie that you are thoroughly enjoying and someone just leans over and shouts "BY THE WAY IT'S NOT REAL" in your ear.

I'd rather it be Zone of the Enders as that would not only stop all these "OMG MGS COMING TO 360!!!" rumors but also because Second Runner was a kick ass game and would love to see how it's handled on the current gen hardware.

The MGS on 360 rumors will never end. You see, it's like rumors from back in the day. For a certain while, fake rumors were about hidden SSBMelee characters, and before than SSB, and also hidden Ocarina of Time secrets. I remember there was a site dedicated entirely to incredibly farfetched OoT secrets.

But yeah, whatever this is, I don't mind, and I'm not very excited about it. That said, I'll probably end up playing it anyway.

Well, whether you like it or not kojima is gonna shit in the face of fans again in a few hours. As is the nature of a slow-drip marketing scheme like this.
