If you play as Brick you don't have to use your fists, but due to his skill tree he probably levels up and gets certain skills that are to do with his fists.

I myself am going to start playing as Roland first off, cause I always play medic/soldier classes in any fps or rpg. I also want to try out Mordecai, specifically to have a look at his Gunslinger Skill Tree.

I myself am getting it on the 360 and then eventually the PS3.
Why? Why are you actually planning to get it for two consoles?

I'm going to be the sniper as I'm a sniper in every game that allows it. Except TF2.

Actually I am still kind of debating whether or not I should get it on the PS3. It depends on how amazing the game is or how many of my friends with a PS3 is getting it but like I said, I don't know yet.

If in the sense of diablo, yeah but in the sense of games like WoW where you see thousands of players at once then no.

I'd say playing cards by yourself in the middle of the woods is the opposite of a MMO.

Diablo is still pretty far from it, tho.

And yet if they ever did take Diablo and make it's setting into a full-fledged MMORPG, I highly doubt there would be that many dissenting opinions on the matter.

You wouldn't be playing cards in the woods though, there are plenty of woods in World of Warcraft to do things by yourself in, so it wouldn't quite be the exact opposite. Maybe in a cave or something- that one won't work either! Damn.

like the only redeeming factor about diablo is that it isn't online.  I mean, its boring, point and click and like doesn't have really anything interesting going for it, but when you play it, you can at least be like "ahhhh... at least I don't have to put up with twits on the internet."

The best part about Diablo is online but I hate those stereotypical Spanish PK'ers that seem to piss me off.

Yeah I guess you are right, its not exactly an MMO when you play with just 8 players a party :/. Oh well, anyway GiantBomb had a 30 minute preview of doing some instances and just general party play. Here it is: http://www.giantbomb.com/quick-look-borderlands/17-1498/ Could hold me over till tuesday I guess.

I'm mad because I have to choose between this or Ratchet and Clank.

This guy was playing Borderlands for 20 hours straight and did a live feed of it last night. You can view the video archives here: http://www.justin.tv/brandon505/all?kind=all&filter=all&order=most_recent
There are 80 videos, plenty enough to hold the most anxious over till Tuesday XD.

"Much like Batman: Arkham Asylum's sale price during its initial release, Canadian retailers are giving players a break with the upcoming shooter Borderlands. For a limited time, Futureshop, Walmart and Best Buy are offering the Gearbox title for the discounted price of $39.96 on both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Borderlands hits stores on October 20, giving Canadians plenty of time to dig out of their snow covered homes."

The site I got this from http://www.joystiq.com/2009/10/17/canadians-can-enter-the-borderlands-for-40/

You're in luck. If you get a 4 pack through steam, it comes out to 33.75(US). You just need to find 3 other people... Incidentally; I wouldn't mind going in for a four pack with three other people.

I'd be interested in doing that as well.
