Species: Land-locked Danube Salmon (Hucho hucho Salmonidae).
Origin: Japan, just outside of Yokohama.

Weight: 90kg, most of which is muscle.



Appearance:
 - Hair and fur: None.
 - Skin color: Greenish gray.
 - Markings: Scars on his face, scars on his back, a human-sized bitemark on his dorsal fin, scars on his feet and a missing thumb from a scrap 125 years ago (fish years).
 - Eye color: Salmon orange.
 - Other features: He has a ring on each finger, each with a different keyhole. It is said that once the rings are unlocked, the doors to destiny will open.

Behavior and personality: Very stern, and not the most social guy. He has quite a bit of wisdom as he is considered somewhat of a sage by some, but he is reluctant to share his information with people he doesn't trust. The problem? He doesn't trust anyone.
Skills: Self-taught magic. Brawling. Blade, bow, blunt weapons and short swords and knives. He's also very proficient with guns, energy weapons and explosives.
Weaknesses: Irritable, kittens (He loves the little furballs x3).
Likes: Silence.
Dislikes: Noise. War.

History: Stryder was born in the wappanese (my word for japanese) waters of Yokohama. After his parents were killed and eaten in the Great War (also known as 'The War of Men and Fish'), he decided to dedicate his life to the military. After posing as a human for several years, he made his way to the top ranks of the japanese military. He was then invited to become a personal bodyguard of the japanese emperor, but declined because he started to feel that life was a bore.

That was, until he met Ulukay. Ulukay is the very wise fish elemental who is said to seek and train only the most proficient sea creatures in Japan, and Stryder was the most proficient of them all. After being trained for several fish years, 155 to be specific, Ulukay was also killed and eaten by humans. At this point Stryder vowed to bring peace to the land of the sea creatures and started travelling the world in search for an answer.
