the background has a really neat texture. i've never seen that in a video game before. it looks like a piece of toilet paper or a napkin and everything else is embossed on top of it. i wonder if that was intentional.

i've always really wanted to like this game a lot, but it is completely unplayable. it has one of the worst combat systems i've seen in a game, gives you no idea of what you're supposed to do, is really tedious to navigate, and doesn't even have a very good premise! it's really unfortunate because it has great graphics. look at how crazy those character portraits are. those are pretty neat. i wish more games had portraits that weren't just frontal face shots.
