Yesterday I found a video of thirteen min. of uncut and unedited video Demo of God of War III which is on this site PS3 fanboy it prttey much where I get a lot of my game updates form.

Tell me what you guys think and enjoy the gore. I'm hoping this is not any old news to you guys, But the graphics are looking amazing and the finishers are Jaw dropping. Yha I know we all saw video before of the game but a lot of that was edit together and was like in game movie kind of deal.

God of War was never my cup of tea but this looks good. Doubt the story will be that great though, it never was in the series.

I always wondered what people saw in this series. I'll agree it's pretty interesting and fun and the games always looked really good, but only for the first 30 minutes then it just starts repeating itself. I remember playing the first one and I never completed the level in which you fight taurens and get a medusa head weapon. I think this was the 2nd level?

It was just tedious.

Never got past the first level of the first game, I could not mash that button fast enough to beat the Kraken. So i'm not enthusiastic about this.
A tool is a tool regardless. I mean if you suck, you suck, and not even the most perfect tool could save you. And if your damn good then even with the worst tool ever conceived you could chug out some high quality shit.

I only ever played the first one, but I enjoyed it for the most part.  I haven't gone back to play it again because of this one part where you have to climb a rotating pillar covered with spikes.  It took me three hours to get past it, and it was such a horrible pain the ass.  I don't know why it was so hard to do it.

I don't know why I never played the second one.  The first had a pretty complete story, and I never really felt a strong desire to find out more about Kratos.

But this one does look pretty cool.  Him ripping the head off was such a sick scene.  But I don't have a ps3, nor do I intend to get one any time soon.

GOW 2 basically took everything that GOW did wrong and make it better. There's about four (!) times as much bossfights , the story's gotten redone, and there's enough variety in the mix to keep people happy.

Also, you could beat up a 60-year old Icarus and rip his wings out of his back.

That was a glitch, actually.  I don't know what causes it but sometimes the Kraken will be unbeatable and you'll have to restart the game.

I enjoyed God of War and thought that first level was pretty crazy and interesting.. But then it just went downhill from their. Picked up a little at that walking temple thing but that final boss fight was pretty disappointing. I can see the appeal in these games but it's not like games like Devil May Cry, Shenmue, etc aren't just as good.

God of War II was so much worse compared to the original in everything except length and a couple of bosses. This game doesn't interest me as I don't have the money to shell out for a Blue Ray player.

It's a spectacle... but that's about it. I tried to get into these games but I never could. The gameplay just isn't that interesting.

I agree the games look good, and brutal and they (especially the second one) seem to push the system to its limits but they've never really appealed to me. I enjoy mythology, but the actual gameplay just feels far too repetitive for me. Even moreso than other games that are repetitive.

I don't hate it, the story just isn't too compelling. It all boils down to "Kratos is pissed", and all the games follow that mentality minus the sappy shit with his family that fails to add a second feeling. However, it is mindless and gorey fun at least...
