I'll play S.T.A.L.K.E.R Clear Sky, because I've already started playing it last week, might as well finish it now.

You guys suck, play Jade Empire. It's awesome and also pretty short, easy enough to blaze through just in time for Mass Effect 2.

I couldn't stand Jade Empire. Everyone waved their arms wildly and rocked back and forth while talking, it was really dumb.

Ugh I really can't bring myself to play Clear Sky at the moment. I think I'm all stalkered out for now.

I think Half Life wins. . . At least until Mass Effect 2 unlocks on Steam.

Goddamn I wish it had unlocked on Steam. It also isn't preloading for some strange unknown reason. . .

Hey Neophyte is it worth downloading a torrent of it and playing while I wait for it to unlock on Steam?

unreal tournament, the first one, at 200% normal speed. i think the game speed changes just that, how fast the game goes, and does very little in terms of my aim or strategy

The thing about UT99 is that the default gamespeed is already way too fast as is. I guess that's just my gripe, because i'm not one of those people with caffeine surging through their veins.

OK Red Faction: Guerrilla has become exceptionally frustrating. Like destroying shit was fun and they seem to make you do other things that are less fun down the road. and a lot of it feels like a total grind. I'm playing on hard. as I always do with shooters but I'm finding this game retardedly frustrating. Like I like games where I die when I fuck up. but I die in this game way to much because of random occurrences or just hell approaching the enemy at all.

-like 20-30 enemies in any given combat area
-limited ammo
-enemies are gluttons for punishment
-enemies are accurate as hell
-you have 3-5 guys shooting you at a time in a lot of cases making health go down to zero in mere seconds.
-reloading take to long and magazines are short.
-enemies are incredibly aggressive
-stealth is nigh to straight impossible with enemies spotting you automatically a lot of the time no mater which angle you come from.
-there are no long ranged accurate weapons to could allow me to soften an area up by sniping/headshots from afar. All weapons are close range.
-the more enemies I kill the more that respawn due to a higher alert level

I'd switch to normal but then I feel like I'm giving up and I've fail terribly. but agh I'm not having fun anymore and it seems like there are a lot of dumb reasons that this game is hard on hard mode. there are no tactics because the game forces you to do things a certain way a lot of the time and the way it wants you to do the stuff just doesn't seem effective at all. but if I put it on normal it'd be like defeating the point.

IDK what to do anymore.

so in other words the game is hard on hard mode? uh oh....

if you're finding it so difficultfrustrating that you're no longer having fun, just turn down the difficulty. GENERALLY the whole point of normal mode is that the game has been balanced for normal to be the best gaming experience, so really it's no cop out to just drop to normal

I have found that as time goes on Red Faction: Guerrilla gets a lot less fun and just generally more frustrating, so this guy has a point. Just switch it down and persevere, dude; s'what I've done for the meantime and I guess it's kind of enjoyable, if not a little OLD by now.

yeah red faction guerrillas like that. When you first start off, you are amazed by the detail of destruction you can cause. As you progress onwards with the plot and missions, you start to lose interest. I dont even know how far I am but I got bored as hell cus it seemed too repetitive to continue. I played on hard for a bit then gave up turned it down to normal and the game became playable a bit moreso than before.

I suppose I'm just so used to normal being 'EASY' mode for me. like... I've beat a crap load of games on their hardest difficulty and ran into few actual frustrating parts. like it was HARD but not frustrating. I died plenty in the games because I fucked up, I did something wrong, but I never felt CHEATED or that my death was random. In hard mode of Red Faction Guerrilla I feel cheated about most of my deaths.

also because its an open world game, the game forces you to drive back to the location after you die, OVER AND OVER.

so yeah fuck it, I'm pussy'ing out going for normal.

Haha I'm playing Mass Effect 2 at the moment, and this fucking hilarious npc conversation took place so I stood there and listened.

When you get to there's a Turian and a Quarian sitting and having a chat about the Quarians love life. The Turian obviously likes her, and he keeps saying
things, hinting at her, but she doesn't notice.

Then, towards the end of the conversation, she says "Anyway, I did get the nerve stimulation program built into my suit."

and the Turian says "Yeah, we should watch this movie. . .what?"

and the Quarian says "Yeah, do you want me to show you?"

and then she goes to press somewhere on the suit, but before she does, she says "Ugh, this is a private conversation, human, get lost"

It is easily one of the funniest things I have heard playing Mass Effect 2. Also the Krogan talking about how Asari are too soft to hold when having interspecies sex.

from what I saw around the web so far there is an omnipresent backstage emphasis on interspecies sex in mass effect 2

Yeah in some areas you can hear quite a few random npcs having conversations about it. I love how Bioware mocks fox news.
