still, i can't help but find the game disturbingly boring. for me, there's not an awful lot to be nostalgic about in the game. the level and story design is really deplorable
honestly have to agree with you here. i haven't played the campaign since the game first came out, and i had NO idea what i was doing, or where i was supposed to go. the level design makes no sense at all. still, i'm enjoying playing it, but it's not quite as awesome as i thought it was going to be.

Also, is there a straight Team Deathmatch? or are there only objective modes?

Squad DM  teams of 2-4 vs. 3 other teams of 2-4

Kinda funny when you get a team of 4 vs 3 teams of 2

Realized I still have a 50 dollar check from my grand parents so I used it to pick up Bad Company 2. Played a little of both Campaign and multiplayer.

BTW: its good thus far but I have a few nitpicks about the controls:

Why can't I Sprint at any other angle other than straight forward? I miss being able to sprint off diagonally in MW2.
Also can't have more than 2 key's to a single action. Its driving me nuts.

Non control issue: Also Wish there was a tad more control over class customization.

Also, is there a straight Team Deathmatch? or are there only objective modes?

Even though MW2 doesn't have lean, I actually think this game needs it more. I've never felt the need to lean in MW2 for some reason, but when I'm playing BC2 I feel as though I would have benefited from it. oh well.
although i dont think leaning would work in a non-cover based game, as being able to freely lean would either mean your advantage to leaning would be incredible (being able to have a good view without exposing much of yourself) or the opposite and it's hard tricky to see anything (making the whole thing pointless)

otherwise it sounds like you bought the wrong game if you expected any of that straight-up 2 teams of 16v16 deathmatch

I don't even really like the squad deathmatch really, in BC2. The game just works better as an objective based game.

indeed. i kinda remember the layout of the levels enough to get through it but everything you do in the campaign is just pretty boring. it all gets really tedious when i'm not just blasting everything in sight.

the most fun i've had in the game since purchasing it yesterday was exploiting minor bugs to get the guy from the shooting range actually into the range with me so i could pile remote mines on him and fill his head with crossbow arrows and throwing knives.

exactly what i mean. i think it was purely in there for people who were coming to this expecting a more MW2 orientated game

I've played the first Bad Company (just single player) and enjoyed it (if not a tad disappointed that there was no challenge to the game, as you just got infinite respawns). and My little brother said that he loves BC2 and thought it was better than MW2. So I figured I'd buy it and play it with him.

Like I said its not bad. and I enjoy objective based, but I wanted to play some TDM to learn the maps a bit better and some of the control issues just weird me out.

ahaha, that sounds infinitely more entertaining then playing through these campaign levels. the level design is just... just awful. ugh.

Dragon Age: Origins: Awakening is finally here! Too bad my "perfect" play-through of Origins is still incomplete so I have to use an older save for importing. :(

Been playing Call of Pripyat. Everything I hated about the first two STALKER games is fixed in this one. It's pretty awesome.

My only complaint is how nice and friendly the bandits are. Oh, and getting an exo-suit at the start of the game seems a little off, albiet, it costs a lot of pocket change, but money isnt too hard to get with the new artifact system.

haha i picked up the game yesterday, actually. bought it over ff13 on a whim. it's really fun so far

the battle system is great and full of strategic depth. there's a lot of positioning, spacing and timing involved. everything about it just seems complex and interesting. i don't think i've ever played anything like it. like, i'm on chapter 3 atm and i'm still getting occasional game overs for not understanding all of the little intricacies in battle

the story is a nice change of pace from other rpgs too, even though you could make the (valid) argument that nothing is really going on. up until now all i've been doing are random missions given by townsfolk, but i'm completely fine with that. i don't know why. maybe the pace of the game can be described as "slow but relaxing?"

also it's really cool when the 3 characters interact with each other through brief cutscenes and dialogue. heck, even when there isn't any dialogue it's still cool. like every time you take an elevator, the game will have this short 3-5 second intermission of the characters just sitting/standing around as they wait on the elevator, and i can't really explain why but it's probably one of the most chill things i've ever seen in an rpg.

castlevania: what the heck is it called. Order of Ecclesia. I'm using a nds emulator because the place I went to buy a game was out of all three nds castlevanias, and according to wikipedia the other two have this seal system that kinda needs the stylus so I picked this one. I'm liking it so far, it's better than all the GBA ones besides circle of the moon which is my favorite castlevania

also I never heard of most of these games you guys are talking about. this castlevania is actually the most recent game I've played (previously portal)

Finally got the fine calibration tools in Call of Pripyat. Now I can sprint in my exosuit, and my sniper has this cool auto-target feature. Also, four artifact slots, fuck year
