I got Icewind Dale today. Basically it's the Infinity engine game for people that have no attention span and would rather kill a bunch of shit than wait for the story to get interesting (so you know, me.) I know its story has been bashed for being shallow and some people complain about it being so battle oriented, but that's kind of what I want right now. Icewind Dale is like Diablo with a more cerebral battle system and slightly more involved story. I'm digging it quite a bit.

Saints Row Third is really terrible. It's less interactive than the second, and the plot feels like it was written by that pedo guy who does CAD.
SR2 was horrible in the plot department too(but it's open world made it playable), but this one just cranked up the unpleasentness and the unironic fratboy humour.

Still playing Oblivion. Working on the main quest line of The Shivering Isles.

I can't decide if the Dark Seducers or Golden Saints are more dickish. Which will determine which side I pick. All the mortal people on the 'Dark Seducers' side are living horrible lives and the Dark Seducers seem ok with this. But are friendly to mortals, even humble and are willing to serve them. Golden Saints on the other hand have their mortal people living lavishly and happily, but seem to actually hate mortals and have nothing but disdain for them.

Fuck, like, I get having a multifaceted morality in your characters, but this shit doesn't make any sense.

I love how they seriously say "Old school RPG" like once every two seconds in their video. I think that project is kind of doomed though. It barely has more money than it did the day it launched.

I've completed everything worth doing in Oblivion. Took me a long ass time. It was fun.

Going to start up either the first Ratchet and Clank or the first Jak and Daxter tomorrow. Don't know which yet.

wapreredd: the shivering isles aren't meant to make sense. however i am not saying they are well written (they are not)

go with ratchet and clank. jak and daxter is a bit too ordinary.

I really don't know that much about it but from what I've heard he's a good game developer. I mean, John Romero also worked on great projects, but he quickly ousted himself as a terrible game designer as soon as he got a little more creative freedom. And that hasn't happened for Tom Hall. But I honestly don't know well enough.

you know the industry is bad when you can probably honestly give him credit for what he didn't do, and that was fucking up anachronox. if that's the sort of game that's OK on his watch, then he's probably one of the good ones.

Years of playing with consoles with internal HDD's has made me TOTALLY forget I need a memory card for my god damned PS2. I bought the thing 3 months ago and I can't remember if it came with memory cards, let alone find them anywhere.

Welp, Ratchet and Clank has been delayed :/
