ID is making a new Wolfenstein title and it will be released soon from what I am hearing. It looks like it will delve a little more into the supernatural with the whole "nazi experimentation" kind of thing. I am not sure how it will turn out though since I read a couple of previews and many said there isn't too much special about this game. Oh well, any thoughts?

Return to Castle Wolfenstein was pretty good, not the best game ever, but still good. Some parts of the singleplayer (from what I remember) were really hard/confusing, but it was good otherwise. The multiplayer was also really fun (basic multiplayer), it also spawned Enemy Territory which was pretty fun and pretty popular, and now freeware.

But yeah this new Wolfenstein.. I don't know. It looks ok, I guess. I feel they could've done so much more, but I've yet to see it from my own eyes, because I feel they're not showing all of what it is.

If they are, well, shit.

They did mention that the multiplayer will be like Enemy Territory, with all the objectives and shit but they said it will have more depth. As for the single player, the whole thing with the "Mire" is a little weird. Then again, ID hasn't really failed me yet as I didn't really hate any of their games(though Enemy Territory Wolfenstein and Quake 4 felt a bit underwhelming).

Isn't it called the Veil?

Also, ET, RtcW And Q4 are all Raven Software games. The engine is iD, not much else. ;)

Though Raven and iD have been hand-in-hand for a long time now..

My bad, I didn't know(in Quake 4's case, forgot) that Raven made them. I liked RtcW but ET was very confusing to me at first, not so much today though. Quake 4 had a great campaign but the multiplayer, while still fun seemed like was ripped straight from Quake 3 Arena with better graphics and new weapons.

but herr doktor, these zombies cannot be controlled!!

NONSENSE!! MUWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

That’s right, you have the young gaming with the old(er), white people gaming with black people, men and women, Asian countries gaming with the EU, North Americans gaming with South Americans. Much like world sporting events like the Wolrd Cup, or the Olympics will bring together different nations in friendly competition, (note the recent Asian Cup; Iraq vs. Saudi Arabia, no violence there) we come together. The differences being, we are not divided by our nationalities and we do it 24-7, and on a personal level.

We are a community without borders and without colours, the spirit and diversity of the gaming community is one that should be looked up to, a spirit and diversity other groups should strive toward.

If you play the DLC for Wolfenstein not sure if  XBL has it. but when you get a trophy you get some money to start with for the new game. Apparently you buy your weapons now.

No I think you will still find them, but there will be an upgrade system that will require money to use. I have the wolfenstein 3D XBL arcade game, so far I have about 4 or 5 achievements.

Same here, and yeah, the achievement/trophy does mention it just being an upgrade system.

But that's partly why I feel there's more to what they're letting us on, because while the trailers and interviews I've watched just made it seem bland.. while still cool and Wolfenstein-y... it never mentionned anything remotely close to this. So I'm hoping I won't be disappointed with it.
