Ok, well I feel like I owe a lot of people an explanation for leaving as I did. I was on the end of my Iraq deployment and I ran into... some medical problems. (For you nosy types I spent a full week in a psych ward... nuff said in regards to that) I'm off my contract in a few short weeks, and then ill be back in civilian life and with ten times as much time to work on my projects. I Really am sorry for leaving as I did, but my health was in a severely depleted state. Im recovering nicely and since this all happened ive been twice as inspired to work on my games. So im back full time now. Missed you guys... well some of you at least ;-)

Hello everyone! :)

I used to lurk a lot back in 2002-2004, and I loved to play RM2K rpgs and read posts made by people here. Somewhere between the release of rpg maker XP and going to college I lost interest in games and internet forums but I check back sometimes just to see if this place is still around. The old gamingw website was spiffy, how sad to see it go! However, I still don't understand some of the jokes and internet memes some people keep using on here...

If you want, I did purchase that Programming in Python 3 book and I'd still be interested in having a sort of 'study' buddy to work alongside.

Hey, I'm Joe and I'm a final year university student hoping to graduate into the games industry. I've already plugged my site in the advertising section (*cough* StudioFortress.com *cough*) but I also want to stay and expand my presence online and be a part of more gaming communities then I am right now. So expect to see me posting my opinions on many other gaming forums dotted around internetz.

I've been playing games since I was about 5 or 6 years old on the Amiga 500 and it's always been the one thing I've consistently been interested in. Developing games seems the next natural step in my life.
