That’s right, you have the young gaming with the old(er), white people gaming with black people, men and women, Asian countries gaming with the EU, North Americans gaming with South Americans. Much like world sporting events like the Wolrd Cup, or the Olympics will bring together different nations in friendly competition, (note the recent Asian Cup; Iraq vs. Saudi Arabia, no violence there) we come together. The differences being, we are not divided by our nationalities and we do it 24-7, and on a personal level.

We are a community without borders and without colours, the spirit and diversity of the gaming community is one that should be looked up to, a spirit and diversity other groups should strive toward.

I've been unloading some box sets lately. I guess it is part "getting rid of stuff I've outgrown" and part "exorcising memories of an ex-girlfriend", the latter due to the fact that the girl I was with at the time I bought the stuff was really into all of it, to the point of talking about going to a 'con. In the last month I've made over 150 bucks off of Serial Experiments Lain, Hellsing, and Now & Then/Here & There.

man i am doing this exact same shit right now (the outgrown part not the girlfriend one), i am getting rid of tons of terrible manga (and about to put up a bunch of anime) on ebay. a lot of it i'm almost embarrassed to sell because it means admitting i HAVE it

i also sold some p. bad video games, i've made almost $300 so far and i just NOW put up the manga and still have several dvds unlisted so far so if this shit sells then i should have a nice sum

$100 of that $300 was from selling a single world of warcraft card

I'm trying to start a game in FF8, but my game keeps freezing when you leave the infirmary at the beginning. Squall and Quistis walk to the end of the path and Squall is stuck there with the "hand on hip" pose. The birds are still chirping, too. I don't know how many times I can go through that damn intro.

I'm using PS2. I've located a scuff on the disk and applied some abrasive, but so far no luck. I might have to look into burning a copy of Disk 1.
