I forgot that a modchip is required for burnt games.  However, there's this technique involving GameShark that can override this somehow.

also, helpful post: my PS2 is completely fucked for playing PSX games regardless of disk quality and I have no idea why (nor do I care). maybe yours is too!

Tried to get it fixed like two months ago wasted 200 bucks it didn't work.  Also, this car is crap it has an oil leak (I have to refill the oil like once a week), has scratches on the side and the passenger door won't open, and I just got the brakes fixed cause they didn't work at all.
