Oblivion's so damn addicting -- I get off work at 11ish and continue to play until 3-4am

Then proceed to go to work and tell all the girls how super cool I am in reality.

If only they knew what I really do with my spare time......

I learned how to pronounce Coxswain the other night.  It's not like Cocks-wayne, it's like Cocks-in.

Mark, every time I see your profile picture I think it is Phil from Eastenders with Garfield behind him and it confuses me. Like then I realise that it's Jon Davies or whatever. But this has happened like five or six times now.

THIS IS ON MY MIND.

Is it just me or does the creator of Garfield just look like the kind of guy who would dedicate his life to drawing incredibly bland comics about cats?
How about no!? You are an idiotic version of a baboon.

i guess both albums so far have been a bit polarising for the fans, since i've heard a lot of critisism for BHaR, but i liked that album, though i listen to the others a lot more. I am expecting this new album not to be too bad, since they seem to misplace a lot of there tracks, single-wise. (fury is an awesome track, and thats a b-side; citizen erased really should have been a single, etc.)

Fury was supposed to be on absolution but Chris and Dom outvoted Matt to put on Thoughts of a Dying Atheist instead.

I'm not saying that as a hole black holes was a bad album, but some of the tracks, namely "Supermassive Black Hole" and "Assassin" are complete dregs of songs and both the new songs from the Resistance in my opinion blow some of the stronger material from that album out of the water, so I dunno.

haha really? those twats fury was badass. I konw they didnt put futurism on that(?) album coz it was too hard to play live (the only live recording does sound pretty bad) but that was awesome as well.

i see what you mean, really, supermassive black hole should never have been a single, and songs like soldiers poem shuldn't evne be on a muse album. invincible's alright coz it gets massive at the end so yeah, the new singles are better than the bhar ones but there still quite a way behind the other singles.

and if you think about it noone expected them to follow up plug in baby with anything as good/better so hysteria was a massive shock and its not like they cant right amazing songs like that, if they've done it (at least) twice. knights of cydonia was not quite there, but as a live opener its amazing. i was just hoping for another like that and neither of the two do that for me. maybe the 3rd one will you never know

I've never really considered Muse to be a "singles" band in the first place though.  I mean like, I can't think of a time that I've actually honestly heard a Muse song on the radio.  (actual radio, I mean I've heard various songs being played on Pandora and in the car when I'm listening to my friend's satelitte radio, but that is a little different).   If I were to have heard Knights of Cydonia on the radio as a single I wouldn't be nearly as in to the song as when you hear it after Hoodoo and the rest of BhAR either, so I'm not necessarily ready to judge the band on something without the rest of the context of the album.

I do get the feeling though that the band is more and more focusing on what their live show is going to be.  I can hear both of these songs being huge in the arena with tons of pyrotechnics and lights going crazy.  I like that, but I'm not sure I want all of their songs to be this way, but we haven't heard all of the album either so who knows!

ah that really makes sense as well, coz they were talking about how they tried to make it really 'chanty' like, with the oi!s on the snare at the end of the song. they wanted to make a kind of anthem. but i dont see why they need more of those songs, tbh, they've got so many songs that everyone knows and will get the crowd started, so why focus on making more?

i know its shitty to want them to make only one style of music, but its so fuckign difficult to get to see them live that album music is infinitely more important than live music. yeah, live DVDs are cool and all but you don't put that on your ipod shuffle.

Idk its kind of like their whole show is those kind of songs now.  Like watching the HAARP set, there are only 2 songs from OOS and 1 from Showbiz and like its okay if its just moving away from your older material but like the songs they choose from them are clearly the ones that are crowd songs.

also I wish they weren't touring with U2.  Its already impossible to get tickets.  Now combine that with U2 (big band), and their tendency to only tour like 15 venues in the entire USA anyways, chances of getting a ticket are even slimmer than a nearby venue

come to Indianapolis please!
