This is kind of two part embarrassing - part 1 involves admitting I used to watch SNL. Oh well. Anybody remember an old skit where Jimmy Fallon was playing Barry Gibb, and he sang (sorta) at point "I'm never more then five seconds away from a gun."
I realized that is what my house is like. My family always had guns around when I was younger, so I've just inherited them all. In my bedroom I have a .22, a 9mm, a double barrel 410 shotgun, a twelve gauge, and an Enfield 303 British. In my bathroom I have a revolver in the linen closet. I used to keep a .357 magnum in the car. Behind the door in the office I have a Ruger Ranch Rifle, and another revolver in the desk drawer. In a room on the other side of the house I have a 30-30 Winchester...and on my dining room table, tastefully obscured by the latest issue of Computer Graphics World, is a Smith and Wesson .38
I feel like I'm still missing a couple somewhere.
EDIT - I've even got a Musket my father gave me, propped up in my living room.
The funniest part - none of them are loaded. I don't even have ammunition in the house for most of them! Except for testing the 9mm out to see if it would work properly again after some much needed maintenance, I haven't fired a gun in a long time.
