Also that's cool Guana! I don't know much about Vienna but it pops up all the time as HOTBED OF NEAT SHIT like the angriest composers and philosophers and stuff so it sounds like a cool place.

only in one scene, the only time he's in the land of the living. it's the kind of style that should be repeated more often but isn't. i guess people think pastiche backgrounds are too childish or something, but it looks way better than and doesn't seem like it would take as much time as amateur pixelart.

maybe because you didn't have the skills, chump. it's a bad rpg in the sense that checkers is a bad rpg, I guess.(clarification: checkers is a bad rpg because it is not an rpg)
but it's a very good rts. how is it a bad rts? this is now a games discussion!

Warcraft 3 is a bad RTS in the same sense that the Legend of Zelda is a bad RTS. (clarification: The Legend of Zelda was never meant to be an RTS, which is why it is just as bad at being one than Warcraft 3)

(Actually, I never played Warcraft 3. But I really don't have to because I have Age of Empires. Which, unlike Warcraft, is actually a good RTS instead of a real time clone of Heroes of Might and Magic.)

Warcraft 3 has too much micromanagement! Why can't the units look after themselves like in age of empires or anything else?

I guess it's because it's a different kind of game altogether

ok, let's put it this way then. warcarft 3 is a bad game. but a bad game is a good real-time strategy game. ergo real-time strategy games are bad games...

what!! how is it a bad game!! Warcraft 3 is really good+fun, well-designed, nice graphics. it has moddability that extends playtime by massive amounts making it more worth your money, allows for micro+macro gaming styles, easy to pick up+difficult to master.

downsides: metagame has evolved to such a point that playing on b.net you must be super pro to score any wins. players not used to working with hero units may stumble with them. gameplay too slow??

edit: Strategy games are the best games. Read more Sun Tzu, chump

is really dumb to say, anyways. Besides Age of Empires being a kind of mediocre RTS series (also my favorite), Warcraft 3 and Heroes of Might and Magic share the similarities of allowing you to recruit units. No city-building, or upgrade researching, or resource gathering in HoMM.

I remember getting it back during the warcraft 3 craze here. all these prominent members were convinced it was the best game ever and they played it all the time. so I got the battle chest for christmas and tried really hard to get into it, but it's just an awful game in multiplayer. it was kind of fun in the single player missions, and as a 13 year old fantasy fan I really enjoyed that part of the game, but I still regard it as a pretty awful game as a hole. blizzard is the worstBUT what about starcraft shut up play stronghold.

I don't think you should use the phrase "is really dumb to say" when talking about video games.
