An aside, but don't you think these occurrences are out of the ordinary even for an occupation like this one? Is it possible that the absurd amount of active troops in the Middle East lowered recruiting standards to such a degree that the people serving now are just crazy bored kids they picked up from the street?

yeah sanitation is key. One of my old roommates used to grow shrooms and when you're starting a mycelium colony on ricecakes in a jar, everything needs to be sterile because the slightest contamination could wipe everything out.

yeah once they're giant white webs, we emptied them out and crumbled them into a substrate of straw/poop(manure)/dirt in a big plastic tub that grew some monsters.

yeah i did it once in just a single quart jar and ended up getting roughly one oz of dried shrooms after like 3 harvests or whatever.

this time i am gonna do 10 jars i think. i have quite a few people whove mentioned to me that theyre looking for some so hopefully ill be able to push this stuff pretty quick

you should prepare a bulk substrate and lay it out over a large surface area in a rubermaid bin instead of just harvesting from the cakes themselves. you'll get so much more


btw be careful dealing shrooms man. Hallucinogens in general are kind of a thing that you want to be extra careful about who you sell to because all it takes is one freakout and they could start spilling their guts to a 911 operator or cop or whoever. especially if its college kids who think they can party.

once the cake is fully colonized you can remove it and gently break it up in the substrate. it's been a long time since I've done it but yeah if I remember correctly you just keep the air circulating and mist em several times a day.

yeah I was doing it the same way in the jars and bought bins and everything. I know what I did wrong I dropped the lids of some of the jars on the floor and just wiped em off

I just want to eat them I don't care enough or have enough time to grow them now...

plus my mom's house wasn't nearly clean enough as it should've been. I cleaned off the kitchen I was working in and sprayed lysol everywhere but I still don't think it was sterile enough.
