I posted it in some other topic I think was it even this forum??? but there are two theories one that the 9/11 conspiracy stuff is either a) a cult or b) like same way urban legends are modern-day legends about monsters and stuff for people too sensible to believe in like DWARVES etc. but thoroughly believes some story about if you go down this road every 56nd Wednesday on the summer solstice you will find a one-armed one-eyed hitchhiker was sent by the nigerian finance minister to lead you to a pot of gold - or something. So yeah it's like for people who are too hipster to believe in God Devil spirituality anymore like instead of God who is this faceless omnipotent entity who can see/control everything you have Illuminati which is this faceless omnipotent entity who can see/control everything. but yeah nobody is like 'this is bullshit' because people didn't really become skeptical about the root cause of being religious/actually learn anything/evolve out of it, they will believe in something which is the same exact shit but repackaged (much like a Capcom game)
