doesn't mcdonalds already offer fruit with happy meals? (the article mentions them adding more fruits and vegetables to help fix this)

the thing is parents aren't gonna order it.  iirc you can get fruit and you can get apple juice and shit instead of soda and fries but nobody orders it!!!  if you're going to mcdonalds you're not worried about health you're worried about cheap quick meals, even if your kids begged to go to mcdonalds for the toys you could get them the healthier alternatives to fries and soda but you don't so why does it matter

yeah you can get apple slices, and you can get apple juice, orange juice, or milk (regular or chocolate). But even if you couldn't, parents can raise their own kids. They don't need the city telling them what to feed them.

Also, apparently in australia you have the option to have a shake with the happy meal instead of soda/juice.

Pretty sure you can get a milk shake with a happy meal in the UK too. I seem to remember reading a thing about how salty and shit the mcdonalds salads were and you might as well be eating another burger

that's more or less what i was saying man.  you can already get healthy alternatives but nobody does so it's not that kids are eating shit because they were LURED BY THE TOYS because even with the toys they could be eating healthier but the parents aren't getting them the healthy shit so getting rid of the toys is dumb and useless

Yeah, see and you guys aren't as fat as we are, right? I forgot about the "You can get happy meals worldwide" thing that makes this even more ridiculous.

Yeah I didn't mean to make it sound like I was arguing with you or something. I'm just pissed off that an ordinance like this could be passed, and I hope that it gets overturned.

Dada, it's the new rules that screwed things up. There used to be limits/bans on campaign contributions from companies, but I'm sure you know that.  *Annoyed American glare* -_-
Yeah, and though the system was broken before, Citizens United really opened up the floodgates. If campaign financing and electioneering regulations were in a thousand pieces before, they're in a billion pieces now. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Citizens_United_v._Federal_Election_Commission

jesus i hate those fucking viruses that pretend to be a virus scanner. a while back i had malware doctor on my pc and now my dad had something called antivirus action or whatever. it doesn't allow you to do anything, can't run taskmanager or internet or anything else. amazingly a system recovery was enough to get rid of it, reformatting takes so long
