Working for Slaveway, going to College finally in the fall. Just to get out of that terrible job for at least only 2-3 days of the week will do wonders for my sanity level. (You have Da Sugar? Sendz The Moneys? - What the hell type of questions are those anyways!? )

I'm working 86 hours a week on a big ass barge that builds oil rigs (yes it builds oil rigs). The mexican government's oil industry (aka PMex) must be rich as shit because they've got refineries and rigs EVERYWHERE, I saw over 20 of them flying in (on a helocopter). I didn't know the refineries shot fucking flames out of the stacks like that, shits crazy.

The company is pretty cool. they'll pay for my mate classes when I get enough seatime, benefits are really good, get paid like 1,100$ a week. A little too obsessed with safety to the point of it being annoying, but whatever. I like the crew so far. the mexicans are cool and funny as shit but the dude I'm rooming with (an old american guy) is a fucking pain in the ass and the captains pretty daft but it could be much worse.

WEEEEEEEEEELP i'll be frank, i feel incredibly shitty after reading this topic. i'm going to turn 20 this august and.. .what do ihave? welllll not much work experience, still not in any university (ahaha most of you guys either COMPLETED or on your second or third year jesus), no future plans-- FURKC RAMCI FUCK RAMCI
everybodys got their own personal hell... and my hell's dietcoke...

also an update: i think i got a civil service job in the kitchen/restaurant side in hospital, it's pretty much guaranteed. going to move out at the same go. a year of this!

No worries. I'm 21 and I still haven't completed my AA (I even earned several credits in high school). You can't force yourself into a degree or field of work that you're not completely certain you want. In fact, it's taken 3 years of aimless college, weed/boozing, and minimum wage jobs to finally find something to work toward.

It's better to wait for your true calling before you take out a loan on a degree you might never use.

I'm about to start my second year in the local university studying theoretical physics. Been aiming for this since I was about 15 and it feels great. Can't wait to get studying again after a 4 month summer holiday. We moved to live on our own and together with my girlfriend half a year ago, which now feels like an excellent decision. The summer could have been catastrophic money-wise as we're both living on student benefit and we don't get it during the summer, but we both got a job, my girlfriend actually two, and everything went better than fine. It's also been a nice, warm summer.

I'm sorry, but I love life.
