I just found out about this movie today, it's the sequel to the Tron movie, is scheduled for 2010 release and features a soundtrack by Daft Punk. What do you all think?

Here's the trailer:

Just letting you guys know, that trailer was shown at Comic-Con 2008, and is not footage from the actual movie. It's test footage.

Looks cool... never heard of Tron but this looks pretty sweet! I think I saw a Tron parody on Family Guy once.

i hope it's not as bad as the trailer indicates. the tron story wouldn't make much sense now since we've got FULL 3D GAMES but i'd really like this to be good.
also that music didn't sound like daft punk at all

Well, the Tron world is in the computer right, so the games on the outside could be xbox 360 Paranoid Android 13 or something, whereas the in-programming plain would be Tron-like, now with glossy Apple-like graphics.

I've never seen tron... but I know everything about it. He probably knows what it is and doesn't realize it because the media is saturated with tron references.

I've never seen Tron either (but do know what it is, unlike some heathens here). Was going to go to a midnight showing of it a while back but forgot about it. Either way, I'm going to see this, if only for Daft Punk

well you've probably seen a parody/reference without an actual joke of everything ever on Family Guy so that's a pretty safe bet.

Tron 2 looks pretty naff. I dont really see how this will work or why Tron needs a sequel. I also dislike the use of the purposely downgraded CG in the trailer, I prefer how it looked in the original.

On a side note, I hate the movie industry at the moment. With the depression going on at the moment, all they seem to be doing is remaking films or doing comeback sequels (same with the mainstream music industry too actually) to guarantee ticket sales.

I love the original Tron so after watching this trailer.. I don't know will probably still see it though so any doubts I have wont really change my mind from seeing it the end. Those bikes were amazing back in the day.

Tron was enjoyable the first time around, but I fail to see why there is any need for a sequel to the movie. It's done what it's done to popular culture already, so there is no reason to bring it back from the archives and attempt to put up something new that will most likely suck anyways.
