Honestly...  I said I would never get into it, I am playing WoW.  Ended up in a half-decent raiding guild and and one of the top 5 DPSers.

Other than that: Doom, Doom 2, trying to beat them legitimately.  Its actually somewhat challenging

DooM 1 isn't that challenging on UV, unless you're playing Ultimate DooM:

Thy Flesh Consumed is 5 times harder than the rest of DooM 1.

The occasional TF2, not much else really. Perhaps Sword of the Stars when I learn how to play.

Hey, if you get a DEFCON server, I'm there. Been at least a year since my last game and I'm itching to nuke.

Granado Espada (Sword of the New World), out of all the MMOs I've played over the years for some reason it's the only one that's held my attention for longer than a month (I've been playing for probably like half a year).

True, I'm playing them on the default difficulty (Hurt me Plenty, I think)  I breezed through the first three episodes.  The only hard part was navigating the levels, haven't played much of Thy Flesh Consumed.  Just jumped to DooM 2

Aw. You should've done it whole, it's very fun, albeit hard.

But that only adds to the fun of DooM

pretty much halo, cod, or smash, those games are good for me right now cause i can play them for an hour of less and be done with em. in the past i haven't been a big console fan, especially for fps but they are a little more casual.

Sometimes I still break out Warcraft 2 BNE but everyone on there now is all ladder match hardcore who want to play sapper/dragon maps and my personal favourite is Plains of Snow (Restricted to Keep) because it requires more strategy than "bloodlust all the dragons" but oh well.

OMG:  You weren't kidding about Thy Flesh...  I only got to the second level, and its kicking my butt.

Question:  Why is it that older games that are masochistically challenging, are fun.  But newer games that carry that same amount of challenge, piss me off?
