I never saved on the world map, I saved using those terminal save points! You don't need to remove it! I haven't had any problems with saving on the world map.

Sorry, I meant remove the note at the top saying to save at a Terminal before transferring the savefile over.

But wow, I never knew equipping one item would help me win the battle! Truely awesome!

NoOoOo, the MAP TREE DATA is corrupt!!

Sorry man. Please play it in the same way that the average layman would :P.

If anything goes wrong, I'd much rather you guys tell me here so that I can fix it. I've gone to a lot of trouble to make this easily playable without having to use Testplay to "Shift" through slow-text or "Ctrl"-walk to get through areas. I'd like to show this to people outside of the community eventually, so it'd be kinda defeating the purpose if you play it using testplay.

Plus, there's a lot of spoilers and secrets inside the database and graphics. :)

I found a bug, just before I went into battle I jumped over that gap and after battle I got stuck like this, I couldn't access my menu or anything so I had to exit and start again... Luckily I did save before entering the Sphere Area 2.

Thanks SW, that bug should be gone now.

Here is a new patch to fix that (also, Violet's Burst now gives 3 AP instead of 2)

EDIT: Found and fixed another bug where common treasures kept giving you the same thing.

Alright, I just finished the demo (there was some weird glitch in the Jackal Labs, when I fell in the water, I couldn't get back out... check that part out if ya can.) I can't remember which section though, sorry if that isn't enough information.

There were some music event stuff that I think didn't seem to play right, like the sneaking mission, the boss music was playing, when you would think it would be sneaking around music instead. Just minor things.

Some of the bosses were pretty challenging (damn you and that damn Rebel guy with that huge gun, he gave me the hardest time, I had to re-think my strategy a hefty amount of times on that one.)

But what disapointed me was that you didn't play the Loyalist Battle theme when you fight that made me a bit sad, but all in all good game so far. Spam the explosives, use the finishers and use the items.

Good show, can't wait for the rest of the game to play out nicely!

well presented and nicely crafted... this is my first time playing this game so i want to say good job. i like the side-scroller elements.

a few things have been nagging me so far, though. i'm finding it easy to get lost because of how similar areas look. this isn't really too bad thoughm but i definetely noticed it while playing through.

i like the work thats gone in to the battle system, but the one thing that is buggin me is how slow it is between turns. I don't suppose there is a workaround for this with the DBS?

Other than that, so far so good!

Thanks, I'll keep an eye out for this.

I think you're the first one to beat it :). How long did it take?

Well, I'm just glad they weren't impossible :P

It would've inflated the size of the download if I had included all four Route battle themes. Since there's no longer different paths, it seems kinda redundant to have so many different battle themes.

I'm trying to avoid making "maze-like" areas since as you say, it's more difficult to figure out where you are both from the perspective and limited chipset. It's probably the worst in the beginning areas. Once you get out of the first phase, it shouldn't be as bad I think.

As far as I know, there isn't. I've spent a considerable amount of time to figure out a solution to this problem, but have pretty much come up empty-handed. Sorry!

Thanks for the feedback :)

I pretty much made an entire half night and day of this, I'd say it took me 6-8 hours to do. (breaks in between of course.)

A lot of people are complaining about the difficulty of boss battles, so I've thrown together some general hints and tips to help you guys out:

For some of the bosses I pretty much ended up ignoring the Field Effects, and used ones that would boost my EX whenever I attacked or use Risky Gambit, (I love that move.) I end up spamming the Grenades. (Its how I beat that one boss that REALLY reminded me of Romancing Saga 3 and the Rat Swarm battle. Cool battle Nonetheless.)

I sometimes get confused with the effectiveness of the skill, like when I used Analyze on the enemy I didn't get if the 125% was more effective or less effective, so I went with my guts and used whatever. :P

I am a little confused on how Erin's First Aid/Second Aid system works though... I used it and I recovered only 1 HP, but when I changed her equipment around I was healing decent HP... I think you should do like what you did with the original. But instead of putting it on the help file or something, make a tutorial room on how some of the skills work because it might confuse people on how some of the skills and other stuff work. But that is a suggestion.

Just don't change the difficulty of the bosses, it gives the player an idea on how they should subdue the opponent, the difficulty is fine, save for that damn rebel boss, but not all bosses are supposed to be easy. I pretty much died on a majority of the bosses in the game. (Those guards before the end of Phase 1 caught me by suprise with that one electric move of theirs.)

EDIT: I REALLY wanna check out all of those animations you made. They look well made and stuff >_<;;;; Curse you and the Map Tree Error thingy... I'll have to ask you how you did that...

Just started playing and made it to just past the second boss, had a good chuckle at the conversation afterwards, saved then got myself killed by a Bomb Jelly thing (Whoops).

So far it hasn't been too difficult, the boss difficulty is fine, as soon as you know what their weakness is and their general pattern, then it gets a little easier. Only had a close call on the second boss, but I think it might be my fault for using the Ex field item so it was able to spam the electric attack. When Leon killed it I breathed a sigh of relief and praised my luck that it didn't get another turn in to use the electric attack again.

The music choices for combat are awesome as usual, good to see the old Boss Battle music in it, and the new Battle Theme is pretty awesome as well. Is it new? Can't remember the old one.

All in all pretty good so far, can't wait till the final version comes out.

It's a multiplier. So 125% means that element will do 125% of the normal damage. You want to use elements that have high numbers :)

Even though they're healing, they're both still Psych element abilities, so chances are you had a sync that was making it so that she'd do only 1 DMG if she uses a Psych ability (or in this case, heal 1 DMG). I guess it wasn't overly obvious. You're right, I'll have to think of something to make Abilities clearer.

Hahaha, actually it's specifically locked so that you don't look. There's a big surprise that'll get ruined if you saw what was lurking in there :P.

It's new. The old one was much shorter and more metal. Good to see you're making it through alright as well.

Thanks for the feedback, everyone.

Heh, and immediately after I get stuck. The second Terminator fight (Against two of them) is a bitch. Especially because there doesn't seem to be any random battles in the area before him, that or my game doesn't want me to fight anything beforehand.

However I have got through 3/4 of the fight, just ran out of healing items, and I can't remember which uses the electric attack (Multi Target one). Other than that the difficulty is fine and the strategy I had was fine aswell, but i guess I just screwed it up by using the Exceed field.... whoops.

Soo either I'm stuck until I can beat him, or there's something up with random fights in that area.

Sorry, that's a mistake on my part. I didn't set random encounters on when you come in through a cutscene. You CAN leave Sphere though, and if you go back in from the world map, random encounters will be back on. I'll fix this in the next patch.

Androids are weak to freeze, so equip some Freeze syncs and aim for using Violet's Exceed ability. Take out the top one first, as he's the one who likes to use that infamous electric attack. :P

I guess you mean Indy there, don't have Violet for this fight. And it seems I got them the wrong way round, took the bottom one out first last attempt. Good to know I can leave the sphere and go back in to get the fights back. A few levels should stop Indy getting her ass handed to her every five attacks or so.

Yeah sorry, you don't have Violet for that fight. In that case, Leon's Exceed with a Freeze sync equipped oughta work.

I'm going to try making it so that Indy's "steal stuff" abilities work 100% of the time. Let's see how that goes..

Wow - this looks fantastic! I just finished the last ending for Alter A.I.L.A. I was so impressed by how involved it was - your games are extremely well designed. I'm not a fan of demos (especially when the games are good!), but I look forward to the project's completion.

I'm sure you have composer's lined up, but I can contribute some original music. Nothing is easier to write for than battle themes in an anime-esque sci-fi setting.

Many cheers!
