I am an IRL friend of - you guessed it! - TheSaintLevine, or as you might know him, the "Notorious" M.O.G .

Anyway, let's get to the point. MOG and I have been talking about this place a lot recently; the drastic forum, mainsite and administration changes, the loss activity not among the least popular topics. During our lengthy discussions, he once casually wondered: since it has been so long, how does GW see me now? Either way, I know he would never come here to inquire such a thing himself, as it is entirely against his nature. But, as you have probably guessed, I am here to ask that very question.

If it turns out you are still sore, I'll speak no word of this to him and be on my way. If it turns out you've come to view him in a different light, maybe I'll consider mentioning this to him... then again, maybe not. It's up to you. So, what do you, as an individual, think of MOG?

You should have seen Notorious MOG in IRC, constantly hammering racist shit about Asian people. If I were you, I would not be friends with a racist, and I'm not even trolling. Anyone who resorts to using racial slurs and stereotypes to attack people is a nobody. And I'm not even trolling right now.

I don't know anything about his dealings online, so you'll forgive my ignorance when it comes to such matters. Though I have known him for some time, and I can assure you that, having been the target of racism himself from time to time, he is no racist.

Yes, we share our own ideas for the website's prosperity and success, what we think is good for the community and what should be changed. Myself being a web designer and he being a former member, aren't we much like Drule before he became admin? Our conversations are no different than those he undoubtedly had with you, or within his own head. Our ideas are no better or worse than his - just different. The roles could just as easily be reversed here, with us in control of the website and Drule an estranged former member. If it was by chance that he got to put his ideas into action, then why not us, why not anyone else? Now I'll get off my soap box, and I'll thank you to speak no more of the matter. This thread is about my friend, not the foundations of this website.

Well you have to realize that many people do not act the way they do online as they do irl, because the internet is their way of channeling their rage and in fact, is the person behind their created public insecurities. Again, I'm unsure of what exactly you're speaking of. I'll not refuse my friend of several years simply because someone I don't know on a forum thinks he's racist. In any case, I'm sure you are mistaken, because MOG is no racist as I've said before.
