No offence but 'proper term' isn't that a bit arrogant? (not sure that's the phrase I'm thinking of), Americans use resume (which is actually a french word(wheres the e with an accent?)), and we Brits use C.V. to say 'use the proper term' is ignorant because both are the proper term, its simply a matter of where you are/where you come form.

Whilst i would like to say I'm sure you joking since that's what i think your post is sounding like (sarcasm) but i can't tell completely and I'm not arrogant to assume either way so I'll go on my first thought that you are serious, if I'm mistaken, please correct me.

The Brits would never allow something as smelly as a French word into their language!

Not back before the second big one where they had to team up and kick Jerry's ass, anyways.

edit: There is a section of my resume that reads:

GW:
Postcount: 1747

and it got my most recent job as a high profile jet pilot

I probably would have if I got a job in some kind of creative writing or journalism.  But it would go along with a LOT of other stuff because my articles alone would look pretty pathetic.

uhhhh CV and resume are usually used to mean different things! in new zealand when someone wants a CV that's generally a lot more comprehensive then a resume, which should only be a page and only include information relevant to the job.

lmfao @ this topic.

A friend of mine made a pretty darn successful online sim horse game when she was like... 12 or 13 (which was only a couple years after the Internet was available to the public) her mom was always like "You should put that on your resume! You should put that on your resume!"  but it's like ... rly?

so resume as in a portfolio?

oh wait I know what you mean. In UK, we'd call that a cover letter

Tried it out, doesnt sound too bad even for just a regular member.

I lied about my post count but there's no way they will check on it anyway.

yeah i have sorta put GW on my CV but I just mention it as like "former staff member of an independant gaming website".

it's actually a good idea (even if it's a total bluff) if you're going for a games related job
