I've only got 24 days and I check GW like twenty times a day (this is a conservative estimate). I don't even... understand how you could have built up that much time.

Internet time is actually gil.

Yeah, this is still pretty depressing. Honestly this place isn't conducive to intelligent conversation and I don't know why I spend my time here. Force of habit, I s'pose. I'm sure you didn't *actually* spend 200+ days. As Velfarre said before, it's probably just because of getting 15 mins for each sign in. Even so, that is pretty bad. The idea that a year of your life can be spent on a computer...ugh. It's bad enough that I have 12 days.

When I go on the computer, I go to msn facebook bbc news and GW. I think it's cause I can't really think of much else to do.. I don't go to any other forums.

But if my parents aint around then it's 4chan

the worst part about this is that the time spent timer only started somewhat recently and doesn't account for years of gw activity. i'm confident some poor bastard has actually spent an entire year of their life at gw, perhaps several people. realistically i'm at least double what i have accumulated on here if not more.

a little sobering if you think about it.

Time spent is time spent.. I don't really let it bother me. Unless of course you devote ALL of your time to things like browsing the internet, playing video games and watching tv then maybe it aint so healthy. But in this day and age, it's kind of unavoidable to devote at least a big chunk of your time to that sort of stuff.

So I guess, Pysburn go out have fun with your friends and whatever, then who cares if you spend the rest of the time reading every single post in GW history

Now Step 2 is for you to get a real life, no longer an internet one, no-no-no. :doom:

If I sign out and back in continually will it add 15mins to my count each time because if so ill just have to do it like 16,000 times and I’m sure ill be at the top of the board at which point I can declare myself a winner finally.

no if you sign out it stops counting. it only counts how long you're signed in, but it waits for 15 minutes of inactivity before it stops counting. logging out is an activity and since you're no longer signed in the timer stops.

EDIT: JMickle I have ~1.5 posts per day and there was about a two year period where i barely used my account. (every other weekend i would maybe post once or twice for that time)

Considering it's total time LOGGED IN i would assume logging out resets the counter completely.

for me, it's 28 days, 15 hours and 5 minutes. but sadly, i think it's actually a lot more than that. usually what i do is i go to GW, open up the subforums i check in some new tabs, then go through and open up every new/interesting topic all in new tabs. i go through and read all of it then (usually without posting or refreshing), often while doing other things too. so i spend a lot of time looking at gw but i think that it would only count as 15 minutes each time i go on, right? hmmm
semper games.

Logging out don't reset the counter.

Then it's broken and there's no reason for it.
