I'm not someone who buys a game brand new for a hundred bucks and pre-orders it with a little book and tin case so I usually buy games once they get a bit cheaper. Killzone2 is pretty cheap at the moment and I've heard pretty good things about it. Who's played it?

It's a great game, it looks real pretty and you'll have a couple of  :fogetgasp: moments. I haven't really delved into the multiplayer all that much, but then again, I can't play any multiplayer at all on this shit connection. So I'm at a loss on that.

However, the single player game is pretty awesome and well thought out. My biggest gripe with it however, is that you don't really ever feel like you're doing something really important, or like you're a BADASS. I don't know how they managed to do it either considering the and the fact that you . But they do. Really, the single player is GREAT. It's just not something I'd like to play again. I can't really explain it.

I couldn't get passed the controls to be honest. Put me off even though the game itself is pretty good, the controls are horrible for an FPS.

It couldn't be all that different from KillZone 1 could it? KZ1 had perfect controls :\ At least imo.

KZ2 is ok once you get used to aiming with the controls that they give you. In MW2 the "look around" system has no acceleration curve, you basically look the amount you steer with the stick. With KZ2 it has an acceleration curve that speeds up and slows down which I guess must be a cosmetic thing they threw in there.

I completed KZ2, it's a slow starter but the end is epic. The online play is very good also so if you have the free time I'd wholly recommend it.

KZ2 was kind of dumb, it was pretty and stuff but suffers from a lack of any real character or style. It's full of the same grey, washed out warzones we've seen in every single shooter in recent memory, and the same dull, macho jarheads in every shooter in recent memory. There's zero interesting dialogue and the story development is almost nonexistant.

If you just want a pretty shooter that plays decently but lacks any notable infusion of creativity, you'll be happy with it.

I do give them props for turning out a game that, in all honesty, looks about as good as that crazy trailer they showed when the PS3 debuted at E3 in 2005 or whatever. Considering the huge controversy when that trailer turned out to be prerendered, they did alright!

Just played it, you can change the controls. I picked alternative 2 which is pretty much the same controls that every console FPS uses.
