GT Review if you guys are interested. I'm still buying the game because even though the first was repetitive as fuck, I still somewhat enjoyed it.

I am so glad I rented this and didn't purchase it. Yup, it's nice to look at, but the repetitive nature has already gotten under my skin.

Also, and I shit you not, one of the more important charcters in the story introduces himself with this line: "Hey, it's-a me, Mario!" You know, like Super Mario? I didn't know whether to laugh or cry.
Check it out! I'm doing NaNoWriMo this year!

this would only be true if you also played as raiden for mgs1, didn't play it, then picked up mgs2 and were still surprised.

seriously it wasnt a plot twist this time around. it would have been a plot twist if it WASN'T a virtual reality thing.

You were supposed to laugh, it was a joke/homage.

It's one line and given the context it wasn't jarring. it sounded nothing like Mario saying it. It didn't do much for me but whatever

What kind of game? There are a lot of strategy games that take place during that period, but I'm not sure about many other kinds of games. You might want to try The Guild 2. I have no idea what it's like, I've never played it, but to my understanding it's sort of like Gothic but also a strategy game? I have no idea.

Hell, Israel during the Crusades was somewhere not really touched in games. I am impressed with Ubi for picking such time periods
