The point is, while Tekken (to me at least) seems better about combos (like your example), there are the ridiculous combos that end up being a stupid amount of buttons being pressed for some single move.
Rather not look at a list of these of things and memorize them.
Then you are doomed to have an inherit disadvantage against any and all players that choose to memorize those lists in their entirety.
You can still play the game just fine, but be sure to do so prepared to accept that inevitable truth.
If there was any one game series I want to see ported to wii, it would have been this one, and I'm not even that big a fan of the series. It's just that it always seemed like the buttons combined with the motion controls could easily work out as the most ideal format in which to control that style of fighting game. (I could even imagine the full button/motion configuration for theoretical wiimote/nunchuck play)
