I'm buying a ps3 just for Fifa10, and some ps3 exclusive games, and for the hardware.

I know what you mean, Christoph.  Part of me really wants to go and play Last Remnant again, but, the other part of me remembers that the game was boring as fuck...  :(

I really wanted to like Last Remnant, like I god damn tried so hard to enjoy that game but nope, none of that. The difficulty spikes were ridiculous enough to turn me off it forever.

I don't think I ever hit a difficulty spike (then again I'm only I don't know how far into the game since it doesn't have a god damned 'time played' feature) yet.  I just hate that you have no control over anything but equipment and you're left in the dark as to what pretty much anything does.  The game looked so promising a before it came out...  Great idea on paper, terrible in practice, as per usual Square Enix.

yeah I'm gonna get lost odyssey the main reason I bought a 360 .... well that blazblue, the dbz games and ff13.
But after watching a live stream of ff13 I'm kinda losing hope... theres no towns, maps are more linear then ff10 and the music is pretty bad aside from the battle music.

God the Last Remnant pissed me off. It could've been a Suikoden style epic, instead they botched all the basics. The battle system was almost interesting, but they fucked it up by making you feel like you're never really in control. The story could've been good but it was ruined by the usual Square style of barely bothering to tell it. A lot of the technical issues could be alleviated by installing the game to the Hard drive but that didn't change the fact they wasted the Unreal3 engine too. Some of the cutscenes looked god awful and there was so much slowdown

apparently last remnant on the PC is way better than on the 360. No more slow downs and no graphical issues.

Yeah the loading times on this one did take the wind out of my sails on several occasions (I am a horribly impatient person). The batlles were not to bad on a whole but some did drag on for longer than what seemed necessary.

I personally believe that Modern Warfare 2 is a must for the 360. It's story will only last you about ten hours (if you play through on Veteran), but I really felt like I earned it when I  was done. Also, the multiplayer is so much fun.

Magna Carta 2 is amazing, despite the horrible reviews... which I honestly can't figure out.

Graphics: good - perfect functionality, no slowdowns, very colorful and fluid.

Story: not super original, but executed so well, you really do care about what'll happen next.

Sound/Music: Voice acting is surprisingly strong for a jRPG, maybe 1 annoying character, but even she's not that bad. Everyone else's work is solid. Music is great too, not Mitsuda but still does the job.,

Battle System: Probably the best battle system this generation, constantly engaging, and makes the game somewhat difficult. It's still pretty easy, but not boring-easy.

Length: Well, I'm at 20 hours, and just finished disk 1. I'm guessing I'll total at 45 hours or so, there are 100 side-quests, each of which is fairly short but still fun to carry out. NO fetch quests, thank god, they're actual side-quests.

Great jRPG, probably the best one after Lost Odyssey this generation. GET IT.

I would like to highly recommend Lost Odyssey and Ninja Gaiden off your list. I have played both of those and love then. The graphics, plot and game play are wonderful in both in my opinion.
