I love this show so much. I never heard of it until a couple of months ago but it is great and I like Carl Sagan and his attitude. You can watch the entire series of Cosmos on youtube no problem, in ten minute segments (each episode is about 60 minutes). It is a great series to give yourself hope it gives me many hopes and thanks to Carl.

This is a programme about why we should explore space and why we all deserve it. Sometimes this show will make you cry a little.

I also love the soundtrack alot. This is a fantastic and educational series which I think we'd all have a good time to watch.

i'd never heard of him before this video, but i love the line "if you wish to make an apple pie from scratch, you must first invent the universe"

i appreciate his language but i'm not too interested in hearing abandoned thought from kermit the frog

I just got the book the other day.  I've always admired Carl Sagan, but I have yet to read any of his books.  He speaks so rationally and politely, like he has absolutely no intention of offending anyone's beliefs, but yet he tears apart arguments made by various religions.

A good man, he was.  Even if he smoked a LOT of pot.

I like this series because it made me discover that science is interesting and I should know more about it than I do so I have picked up a little Knowledge Of The Universe thanks to Carl Sagan and the Cosmos crew. I got a book about the universe so I am going to read that and I am going to re-learn some of the stuff they taught us in chemistry in high school about the periodic table and all of that stuff and then some physics, too. Nothing too crazy I just don't want to keep walking around with this being the only thought in my head anymore:

"I....I-I'm stumped!!"

You can get the Glorious Dawn song on 7" of sweet vinyl by the way.

I own this. It is a thing which I own.

The reverse side is an etching of the Voyager Golden Record.

It is awesome.

I got Pale Blue Dot in book format, and it is an amazing read. I recommend getting it.

There's a series of History Channel Documentaries called The Universe which you might want to check out. They're pretty goofy at times in the way they explain things, but might be interesting to you.

Because of this topic I've looked into it finally (Known about it for years but never did anything about it). And holy shit, it's awesome.

I find this whole show very fascinating and entertaining, so thanks for bringing it up! I will forever ride on Carl Sagan's ship of the imagination.
