Yeah I understand that. Things were halted because me and ASE both had to switch focus to real life priorities and we've had literally 0 time for computer-related projects, but we do have a clear goal in mind that will be realized in the upcoming months.

Also I like the WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON??? because GW's been completely dead for like two years and it's not like you're missing out on something important right now.

Out of all the posts I read, this one most accurately described my feelings as well. All the site really needs is content. The users and target audience will materialize if the content is there... I mean, how many of you were around for the original RPGMaker.net days and the first split where Gaming World even came about? I've witnessed the birth (and death) of several communities.

GW is a long way from dead, however, if there is no concerted effort to make plans and contribute valuable content for the future, then you may have to break out life support.

In all honesty, the site seemed perfectly fine like 7 years ago in 2003. The main page worked great and had lots of content, yeah there were some bugs, but nothing crippling. It was a huge mistake to scrap that system and try starting from scratch, and something which I think really affected the community. Better to have a functioning, if imperfect, main site, than NO MAIN SITE AT ALL EVER AGAIN FOREVER ARGH.

i've never cared about the main site all i care about is i used to be able to check the forums 5 times a day and there'd always be a fair few new posts.

there uh...IS a mainsite???? it's more active than the one we had sitting around for a good two or three years that never got updated with coastercraft gold on the front page

THIS IS THE HARD PART man, do you really think that this is something we can just pluck out of the trees? the problem with trying to make a genuinely worthwhile site instead of a site full of rpgmaker graphics is that you actually have to work hard to make it happen and a lot of us are too busy with other things to write articles for a website
