HELLO 

I don't like buying games for a hundred bucks (because it is a waste of money when you can get them in two months for half the price)

Currently, there is a sale on at EB Games, I'm leaning toward getting resistance 2 but feel free to share with me your opinion on which game you prefer. I don't know if I'm going to get uncharted because apparently it's ridiculously short.

Uncharted:
 A good game, but unless you're going for all the treasures and unlockables, it is a little short.
I have both and the length is an issue with both of them.

Killzone 2:
It's OK, but the god damned loading screens... It seems to take forever to load, and to be honest, it's no better than most of the other big sci-fi FPS titles out.

Prince of Persia:
I've not played it much, but it's a bit like a very linear version of Assasins Creed with more artsy graphics and monsters.
The fact that it's impossible to die does take some of the challenge out of it too (jumping head first off a cliff will only make your bitchy sidekick use her magic to drag you back to the cliff edge).

Resistance 2:
World War 2 sci-fi FPS with alien mutants instead of Nazis.
Actually a fairly decent FPS with a good mix of classic and more futuristic weapons (the Chimera use more believable weapons with less homing laser death ray bullshit).

The Orange Box:
Half Life, Half Life and even more Half Life... And Portal!
I managed to get it on sale when it came out for the 360, and it's one of the best £20's I've spent on a game (£20 for a compilation disc that should have been about £45).
I spent too much time just dicking around with the whole Portal physics thing...

I've not heard anything good about Lair, and it's always on the pre-owned section at Gamestation (part of Game) for next to nothing.

Out of all of these, Uncharted and Resistance 2 are the ones I'd get.

I would go for Uncharted, rent it if you're only going to play through it once, I have beaten it three times and it's probably the best PS3 game right after Uncharted 2, GTA4 and Valkyria Chronicles. It is short but that didn't bother me at all because it's such a blast. Uncharted 2 is superior in pretty much every way but Uncharted is still fantastic and worth owning!

Killzone 2's demo left me really unimpressed so I never bought the game. It just felt generic and I don't really like FPSes on consoles and playing the demo confirmed that. I suggest trying out the demo before buying it.

Prince of Persia is a lot of fun and worth owning if it's your cup of tea. Just don't buy it if you are looking for any kind of challenge, it's ridiculously easy and you can't even really die. It's really pretty though and the platforming is cool. Just don't get it if you are expecting... well, a typical game because it's really more like ADVENTURE EXPERIENCE with neat graphics. Also, it's short like Uncharted.

Haven't played Resistance 2, looks good though.

As for The Orange Box, you need to get it for PC, not PS3.

Well out of the sales list To get the most out of your money i would suggest resistance 2,  It has co-op mode for the story which is always fun with friends, especially on the hard difficulty.  Also it is constantly updated and the community is pretty nice. Multiplayer online is competitive and fun


You could get Prince of Persia for PC but it looks alot better if you have it for ps3 and playing it on an HD tv, if you have one.  The game looks really vibrant and it's really fun climbing around, the combat is pretty fun as well.


Don't get uncharted 1.  It will piss you off.  The AI. is HORRIBLE...

I had uncharted 1 for like two days. it was great, it felt great, it looked great till i started to see some problems when it came to the AI.

The game breaks the illusion of play with it's event triggered encounters.  I tried playing around to see  if the enemies come out if you shoot at them, but it seems that they don't.  I shot grenades and my AK at the area where they are supposed to be but nothing happened.  soon after taking 5 steps in, it sounded like 4th of july with returning gunfire.  It makes sneaking hard and nearly impossible as the enemy AI knows EXACTLY where you are.  You can be hiding somewhere but they will all focus fire at your point.  Now I'm not sure if they fixed this in uncharted 2, but these problems make me sell uncharted 1 back to the retailer.  Don't get me wrong the game is great if you're into shooters, but at some points you will be pinned down in one spot shooting down natives to the point where it feels like a shooting gallery. 

Don't get Lair:

Lair is cheap for a reason, it's bad.  The game is focused on using the motion controls of the ps3 controller which is unresponsive to say the least.  All I need to say is, right after the release of lair, the dev company shut down.
