i do like how it totally erases the mystique of these totally worthless celebrities. like we all kinda figured shaquille o'neal did little but drag his knuckles when the camera wasn't on him, but thanks to twitter everybody can KNOW FOR CERTAIN that he has a third grade reading comprehension level. you can pretty much arbitrarily pick any famous person and truly see how completely and totally worthless they are. i hope people are PAYING ATTENTION TO THIS and see that these people are not worth giving a shit about, but that's probably wishful thinking.

on the other hand, kojima acts on his twitter exactly like he does in interviews, so the only mystery removed is if he actually acts like that

I know I haven't been posting that much recently or how many of my few posts you've seen, but when was the last time you saw me call someone retarded? I can't remember the last time I have, if I ever have. I also can't think of the last time I gave a scathing response. I have tried to make a point of being very nice recently. Also I don't know why you'd expect to be called retarded for not having the same sense of humor as someone else.

Do you remember the crap shack and post 9/11? A lot of the time they were pretty bad but there was still something enjoyable about them. It was sort of a place where you could let go and post whatever you wanted. There was a lot of stupid stuff but there was also some funny stuff every once in a while. It didn't really matter. Twitter is a lot like the crap shack, except with the ability to filter out people who are terrible. In fact, you don't even need a context. If you think of something funny, you can just post it. You don't even need to be on your computer, you can do it from your phone.

More than that, though, it's not a static environment. It's filled with terrible, dumb people who don't realize how inane their garbage is and bizarre trend topics and overzealous conservatives and idiot celebrities and Justin Bieber. It's a bad website but so was the crap shack. Basically it's the best of the crap shack without jmickle and ATARI and whoever else was awful back then.
