eh, nah probably not that much. like i think i might put it on record and check out the famous people going up on stage and thanking god later. i want to see if avatar wins. i'll record it on my digital, then skip through 90% of it and just check out some stuff that seems funny or interesting. is mel jibson gonna be there? i wonder if he's gonna be there

I want in the loop to win something but it won't. I'd settle for seeing more footage of prude americans discussing how much swearing is in it. Avatar will win a bunch of those lil tacky gold plated men what else was there last year?? Was the hurt locker? That'll probably win a bunch too. They should give T Cruise an award just because his speech would be so fun.

i've never really thought about the oscars before. i am looking at the nominees just now and i think it is only just hitting me how much this whole this is self-congratulatory hollywood circuit stuff. like obviously i knew that is what it was but heck look at these nominees. these are awards for rich americans, and that is it. that's all it is.

i haven't actually seen most of the best picture nominees but i really liked a serious man it was very funny and cool.

Yeah, the bulk of the movies that came out last year were generally pretty terrible in most regards. That isn't to say that there weren't a few hidden gems among them, but if you were to just start watching movies from last year, you'd mostly be dissapointed.

The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, directed by Terry Gilliam and starring Johnny Depp (and Tom Waits in a big role!) was pretty good. That's, I think, the only good movie I've seen in 2009.

That’s right, you have the young gaming with the old(er), white people gaming with black people, men and women, Asian countries gaming with the EU, North Americans gaming with South Americans. Much like world sporting events like the Wolrd Cup, or the Olympics will bring together different nations in friendly competition, (note the recent Asian Cup; Iraq vs. Saudi Arabia, no violence there) we come together. The differences being, we are not divided by our nationalities and we do it 24-7, and on a personal level.

We are a community without borders and without colours, the spirit and diversity of the gaming community is one that should be looked up to, a spirit and diversity other groups should strive toward.
