rad is the best word, there's a certain feeling that can only be described as rad

i've found myself using rad all the time lately. rad is a rad word

using gay as a derogatory term is kind of bad but actually recognising what's problematic about that and still trying to justify using it is honestly kind of repulsive to me. it's making a conscious decision that you'd rather be a KNOWINGLY GROSS HUMAN rather than try to change or alter your behavior in some way. that stuff about other people choosing to have a problem with it is a pretty awful way at looking at things. hey guys i'm just gonna throw these rocks across the street it's your fault if you get hit!! if you are a functioning adult human being then yes you have to take responsibility for your own words and actions at some point and i haven't heard any kind of reasonable argument for this stuff that does not smack of kneejerk reactionary garbage.

i think this is the argument:  most of the people saying it AREN'T functioning adult human beings, they're kiddos.  there's no excuse for adults to be saying it, but kiddos don't put any thought into what they say and so it's understandable to not find them horrible disgusting human beings for it because they aren't making that conscious decision

when you're a grown ass person it's different though yeah, and i don't know why you'd justify it just like i don't know why you'd try to justify calling people nigger OH BUT IT'S COOL I CALL MY FRIENDS THAT ALL THE TIME (SOME ARE BLACK!!!!!)
