Anybody who puts a ps3 game on a torrent site is playing a really dirty trick on you. You can be sued, but if you're determined to download one, you'll find after you finally get all 20gb or more of the game downloaded at 10 kilobytes/second, which will take about a day or two, you will still need a blu-ray burner to create disc; finding a blu-ray with enough space is difficult and expensive; and when you finally burn it to a blu-ray, and put it in your ps3, the best that will happen is the ps3 will deem it a BD-R containing "unsupported data." The worst that will happen is the firmware update may have code that will scan a BD-R for copies of games and instantly ban your ps3 from PSN for life. There is no way to escape a PSN ban because your ps3 has unique hardware signatures, MAC address among other things that only Sony knows about. You'd have to download an older firmware, reinstall it and then never log into PSN again.

There is no way to play copied games in ps3, especially not disc games, and no iso loaders either. If anyone does one of those things, it would be like the dude in 1984 painting "I hate Big Brother" on a big sign and hanging it in front of his 2-way telescreen. Sony runs your ps3. They are Big Brother. You may own the ps3, but they still own the operating system. You agreed that your right to use the firmware includes not using mods or hacks, when you hit x on the "yes" option after downloading it. You also agreed that Sony can ban your ps3 for a EULA beef.

I bet somebody does have ps3 games up on torrents just to be a jerk, cause they think it's funny to waste people's time.

Anyone who gives Sony money for anything is a complete cunt. If you have to give Sony money to play PS3 games, then your best solution is to not buy a PS3 in the first place. Not having PS3 games is a small price to pay if the alternative is giving Sony anything because they don't deserve a single penny of your hard earned money.

Sony is the worst fucking company in the world. All their shit is overpriced and not worth having unless you can find a way to steal it from them off the internet.

(So yeah, two can play at that game. But I'm too lazy to go around doing this everywhere so I'm probably just going to write an anti-Sony hate-bot for simplicity's sake. Maybe I'll sell it to Microsoft when I'm done so I don't even have to manage it myself. I'll use the money to buy a gaming laptop and only play pirated games on it. I'll also be sure to put a PS1 and PS2 emulator on it as well, with as many roms of games that I'll never have to pay Sony for.)

I hope you know that  Microsoft seems to be more greedier then Sony look at the wireless router adapter for the 360 it uses to be 99$ and how i view this product should only be worth 30 bucks at most was going for little more then 3 times that price I could see it at.

I like to think some developer need to get there product pirated like EA because most of there games are crap anyways normally because they push releases dates and I would love to see EA go out.

I understand why Sony goes to grate lengths to keep there system hack free but when they did a shity ass move by removing the OS system option. Witch might of been one of my deciding prospects of whether I get a PS3 or Xbox360 back when the PS3 was new. I can understand that PS3 slim doesn't have this feature but when I bought my fat PS3 it's what came with it. I can't stand corporations that  become Indian givers. In my option it's bull shit. There could of been a better way to go about this. So if there was a better reason for there firmware to get hack it would be now since they brought this on them self's.

But as for Greed wise Microsoft is on top of that list.

you tell em dday!

That’s right, you have the young gaming with the old(er), white people gaming with black people, men and women, Asian countries gaming with the EU, North Americans gaming with South Americans. Much like world sporting events like the Wolrd Cup, or the Olympics will bring together different nations in friendly competition, (note the recent Asian Cup; Iraq vs. Saudi Arabia, no violence there) we come together. The differences being, we are not divided by our nationalities and we do it 24-7, and on a personal level.

We are a community without borders and without colours, the spirit and diversity of the gaming community is one that should be looked up to, a spirit and diversity other groups should strive toward.

huge clothing companies all over the US frequently hire illegal immigrants which they use as an excuse to pay them well below minimum wage for ungodly hours in inhumane conditions if they even pay them AT ALL

but sony's the worst company ever for being a little pricey???  which i don't even think is all that true compared to their competition either

I was just as honest about what I said as the person who made this topic in the first place.

Think about that one for a while.

Sony is actually pretty awful. These clothing companies in the US that you talk about still have safety standards that they have to follow. Clothing companies in other countries do not. Sony built several factories in mexico for nafta, and when they later saw that they could move their factories to poor eastern asia, they did that, closing the mexican factories without so much as cleaning up. The toxic chemicals that they left in mexico are slowly killing the former employees. now, sony is creating its wonderful products using child labor and worse labor conditions then mexico.

what im trying to say is, nothing that is made in america, no matter how shitty the regulations of the business/industry (take mining for example, with the mining company that would rather pay fines than make their coal mines safe for workers) even comes close to the horrors that people face every day due to the wrath of sony.

and also, the chemicals that fabric/clothing/textile/etc companies use is bad, but it doesnt TOUCH the toxicity of panasonic, sony, toshiba, etc
Put some sand in my roommate's sheets today... :gwa:

Anything sounds horrible if you purposely state it that way.

I think that was the point Maximo was trying to make. For instance, It's only considered a violation of human rights to the people who hold the opinion of it as an actual violation of  human rights, and no matter how many people do view it that way, there is always going to be at least some subset of people who hold a different view statistically speaking. (Is it even possible to prove that there does not exist a person who doesn't even view it as violation while actually being subjected to it?)

In that sense, pretty much anything can be classified as a violation of human rights given the right context, and a stubborn enough observer willing to classify it as such.

Fuck? Let's discount human rights cause someone somewhere is bound to think some ridiculous thing are human rights (minimum wage is so OUT THERE you know?)
