Here's the deal.

I've been in a huge mood for movies for about a month now, and I've been trying to obtain all movies which are generally regarded as absolutely amazing and among the best movies of all time. I want to make sure I have a pretty comprehensive list, but I'll probably miss a lot of REALLY good movies on my own, so I'm asking you guys this - what are some of the all time greats that you can think of, or what are some personal favourites of yours that you believe can appeal to almost anyone?

I'm looking for movies from the 1960-2009 time frame. Currently I'm after Alfred Hitchcock movies, Pulp Fiction (no, I have not see this yet!!), and perhaps some Al Pacino films that are regarded as masterpieces (yes, I have Scarface).

So, hit me up!

You asked for Al Pacino movies, I'm assuming you've seen The Godfather trilogy? 3 isn't as bad as people say, though, yes, Sofia Copolla is very bad.

A few great movies I've watched recently:

Das Boot (pretty widely accepted as the greatest submarine movie ever made as well as one of the best war films period)
The Lives of Others aka Das Leben der Anderen (cool movie about Soviet era East Germany secret police)
Inglorious Basterds (Christoph Waltz was one of the few times I was hoping and caring whether someone got an Oscar)
Goodfellas (highly entertaining mobster flick)
Se7en (highly entertaining crime thriller)
WHY SO SERIOUS HAHAHAHHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAA

But under French law, it is only an offence to insult the flag in an event organized by the public authorities - not in a private, cultural event such as this.

"Presumably the law has the legal means to punish such an intolerable act against the French flag," said the minister's spokesman.

You have not seen PF yet? go see it!
Also if you liked it, you will certainly like Reservoir Dogs and Jackie Brown, both from QT. Those are all, you know, crime movies.
