I mean it's not that awful of a show. it's not as bad as stuff like Parenthood (which was kind of advertised as a successor to AD and has Egg but is painful to watch), but it's not very good and I don't like it. even the malcom in The Middle knockoff with the mom from Raymond and the Dewy and Hal clones is better. what else is better? Better Off Ted, which is also a single camera situation comedy and has Portia de Rossi. it has an awful name but is a pretty tolerable show

modern family obviously is going for something like AD and the Office with the hand-held camera work and stuff. why else is it shot that way? I don't think it's supposed to be mockumentary or anything. like, it's mostly shot with a single camera in sort of a mockumentary style but then it switches to other shit that uses multiple cameras or wouldn't be in a mockumentary and you're just like what

don't be so fucking lame. there is nothing more irritating around here than acting like people who go to these forums have some kind of vendetta against the whole world because they expressed a negative opinion on something. guess what!? most things stink! especially on tv! there are good reasons people say they don't like something alot of the time and making a topic to talk about something then brushing off negative opinions with 'it's good suck my grapes you hate the world' is lame as heck.

i might check out an episode at some point, but while arrested development was funny alot of the time, i'm not really blown away by it so much anymore, and the office is a crumby show (it used to be less crumby, but i never loved it).

i mean i liked AD but i dunno, i guess it's stuff from outside the show which has soured it for me which isn't really a reason to dislike the show but i don't like will arnett's dumb face anymore and jason bateman is in nothing but trash aside from AD. actually the whole cast are in nothing but trash apart from AD. i just don't get so into it anymore.

and the office has been flat out awful for about 3 seasons. the mockumentary style hasn't existed in it for a long time and it's really just a sitcom and probably one of the worst ones on tv right now. this week on the office: micheal applies a movie plot solution to real life and EVERYTHING goes awry. meanwhile, jim has a dilemma over whether to follow his nonexistent dreams or entrench himself further in a life of mediocrity. he chooses the latter, and it is the right choice.

whoa that's harsh jamie. are you sure you're not reacting to something? I mean none of them are my favorite actors but I don't think they're trash. arnett doesn't even want to be a comedian. and what about poor maeby? gonna throw her out with the garbage too? you're being spooky as heck.

GR I did say I'd give it a chance! going by what I've seen advertised and the one or two episodes I've watched I doubt I'll like this show, but at this point I don't know if it's garbage no one should watch or if it could be good. tho if "the incident" is the one where al bundy's wife says something like "I'm from coluuuumbia I know a setup when I see one" as seen in the previews, things aint lookin good...

I'm enjoying the office more in reruns/syndication now because it doesn't feel like NOW IT'S TIME FOR THE OFFICE BEST SHOW EVER IT'S WON EVERY AWARD EVER MADE EVEN BEST CRIME DRAMA AND OTHER SHIT THAT MAKES NO SENSE START ENJOYMENT NOW not that it's horrible either but it just felt so overhyped and it became like the iphone of tv shows
