This topic makes me want to buy a microwave just to superheat water. And just out of curosity, what would happen if you superheated other liquids? Coke? Milk? I want to know.

It would... evaporate?

As of recently I've started drinking Reishi or Goji tea daily.  I buy from this Chinese store and it's a mix of Reishi (or Goji) with other medicinal Chinese herbs.  I drink it mixed with green tea.  I've also been drinking clove tea as well, really good!
This is one of them

Here is the other

I just had a kind of white tea with jasmine flowers that bloom from inside into a shape a lot like this:

It tasted really good. This is the first time I think I've enjoyed a cup of fancy tea more than my regular black tea. I guess it sounds really gimmicky but it's a neat gimmick.

that looks interesting... can you elaborate at all? i just recently tried a good jasmine tea for the first time and i'd like to try some more, as it's one of the few types of tea that i don't know much about. ask me about oolongs, reds, puerh, whatever...! but jasmine tea, what? what is this flowery crap? :fogetgasp:

ALSO! i'm sad because my favorite tea providers are going out of business D: The Simple Leaf makes my two favorites, Mountain Malt and American Breakfast. i have a lot left from a recent order, but... those are my daily teas! (along with Ntingwe Quazulu, a South African tea i've been drinking a lot lately.) What will i do when i run out? :<
on the company's facebook page, they posted a link to my brother's topic on Steepster about their closing: http://steepster.com/discuss/820-the-simple-leaf-closed?page=1 i hope they come back! does anyone else here drink The Simple Leaf tea or am i alone in my sadness?
semper games.

elaborate. hmm. at first it tasted like regular white tea but then i noticed more fruity flavours underneath and it felt more deep and whole than i usually expect from green or white tea. i think the flowers might have sweetened it very slightly but i'm not totally sure. either way, i got a deep sense of satisfaction from drinking that cup of tea. i'm not sure what it was but i felt kind of elated for a solid half hour after drinking it. my flatmates tried it yesterday and they said pretty much the same thing - didn't expect it to taste any good but it was actually really nice.

keep in mind though, i'm much more of a coffee person than a tea person and usually when I drink tea it's strong and black with sugar and milk.

hmm, cool :D sounds like a good tea. usually the kind that people feel "elated" after drinking is oolong, because it tends to be more relaxing than strong blacks or astringent greens. and yeah, flowery teas generally are sweeter, or at least are perceived to be. i think it's kind of a placebo because of what people expect from jasmine tea... i'm not too sure either though. what was this tea called? i'd like to get some and try it. and i encourage you to try more tea like this too! its health benefits are far beyond coffee or black tea. even though i like coffee, i've grown to love tea. the feeling you get from it is more of an consistent elevation than an energy boost, and i find that to be much more pleasant. drinking tea daily, perhaps as a substitute for a coffee, can do a lot to improve a person's health and mood.

p.s. is that Bertrand Russell? i love him. you should read Logicomix, if you haven't already.

it is indeed russell. this is my favourite russell photo because his face makes me think of the comics where Calvin takes exception to his teacher's instructions. honestly i've been meaning to pick up logicomix for ages but my budget hasn't allowed it and i don't think it's the kind of book i'd download.

I have 2 or 3 cups of green tea a day. I am hypersensitize to caffeine so I try to limit my intake (I cannot drink coffee, otherwise I'll vibrate). I don't add honey or anything; I drink it black (or green?). I enjoy the energizing, but calming effect it has in small doses. I haven't found any herbal or fruit teas that I enjoy. I absolutely cannot stand the taste of jasmine and all the fruit flavoured teas have tasted like fluoride from the dentist's office.

Your women don't need a Dildo all they need is for you to have caffeine

Yeah, I drink Kombucha.  Not often but I do.  I drink the Synergy brand.  It tastes like champagne.
