Good to see you all again. I haven't been on these boards since last year.. Just really busy with Real-life that it's hard to do stuff that you did way back in the day. That said, I can't miss our annual GW Fantasy Football league that's always been a blast every year that I've been in it. Though I have to be honest, from personal observation... this place looks much less active compared to a couple of years ago. I don't mean to turn this into a 'gw is dying' statement but I can't help but point that out. Well... I slightly smaller community is always better as it's easier to keep under control.

Since this is essentially the same thing every year, I will just copy + paste ase's excerpt for the league from last year:

For those of you who are new: GW has been running a fantasy football league on Yahoo for the past few years and it is always a big bushel of fun! If you haven't joined a fantasy football league before, now is a great time to try!


Here are the current League and Scoring Settings, but they are SUBJECT TO CHANGE. I mostly just migrated the scoring settings from last year but made a few notable changes per yahoo's recommendation that we can BICKER over (Passing TD's are now 4 points instead of 6, Throwing a pick is -1 instead of -2, getting sacked doesn't lose points, and 40-49yd FG's are 4 points)

i haven't really seriously followed football for a few years though so i don't know much about what's going on outside of the major stuff. i am counting on finishing last or close to it!

I remember that... Computer just miraculously autodrafted Dante Culpepper for you every single year... Haha, funniest thing ever!

On a more serious note, we're now up to 11 teams, which is great. More than I thought... But we can't start with an odd number of teams. We just need 1 more to join and we'll have an even 12.

You know... I think it's better that we make it past September 3rd both for your convenience and also to give time for a few more people to join.

We're still stuck at 11 so if we add 1 more, then we got an even 12 to begin. But we can potentially get even more people to join so we'll wait it out... Draft is now rescheduled.

yeah before the 3rd would be fantastic.... although I realize this is the opposite of what Shinobars is asking for. The sooner the better imo
