i don't think clearing all doubts is attainable.

i'm just worried that for me to feel like i'd be justified in going ahead with this life i've vaguely planned out, i'd need to be pretty damn successful to feel like I had done the right thing. by 21 feeling kind of old i meant it would be a bit insane for me to suddenly say hey, i am a chemistry guy now i'm changing lanes here. everything seems very appealing until i'm actually strapped in - that's just the way i am and i know enough now not to let me panic and qui

you know what? never mind. i'm fine. i'm just airing out some of the usual doubts i have about my choices but really that's just for me to go over. all is well.

Yeah, I don't think it's really possible to clear all doubts about that sort of thing.  Unless you are doing something that you really don't have to have doubts for in the first place.   Eg: I have no doubts that If I could make a living playing nothing but video games and guitar, then I would totally do it, but since that doesn't exist, I'll go for something that I have some doubts about but maybe can make some money off of too.

First thing I thought of when I saw the title of this thread btw.
"I would be totally embarassed to write this, even as a fakepost. it's not funny except in how you seem to think it's good. look at all the redundancies, for fuck's sake. "insipid semantics, despicable mediocrity" ugh gross gross. I want to take a shower every time I read your prose." -Steel

To travel the world and see a lot of places and different cultures. I've never been out of the Netherlands, except for a trip to Belgium and a trip to London, so I'd love to see some other places.

The rest of my hopes and dreams are unrealistic and incompatible with the logic of this world, so that's too bad. One other dream I had was to own my own gamedesign company, but I gave that up a while ago.

This is an amazing dream. Reach for the stars man

One time I got a call from a college recruiter from a school I knew I didn't want to go to. When he asked me what I wanted to do for a living I told him that dream.

He sounded horrified but I thought it was hilarious.

I am currently chasing my life dream of making music!

I'll let everyone know just how horrible an idea following your hopes and dreams can be soon enough I'm sure!

to be honest, i dont know what my hopes/dreams are. I GUESS they revolve around music/art. But a lot more heavily on the music side of things, I dont even know why I am doing my course sometimes... and then i remember the parties.

i am often making musics, some people think I am good on the guitar, working on a space album(as always). Music's like my last passion left.

Hey Marmot, what is that you are studying? I know it's physics, but are you an undergrad/grad student, specialising in something, in which university blahblah?

I'm curious because I'm considering doing a PhD in physics in some years time in States/UK/abroad/cool places and because I'm an overplanner I'm harvesting all the information I can get about anything related.

Whoops I accidentally answered the opening post as well.
