hi this is same composer different game
yeah I find this like unbelievably sad 10 secs in 3rd time you listen to it
Edit: this is why you remember the SNES era fondly this is like the one thing that didn't treat little kids like idiots from about 1995-now. The game itself was heavy as fuck too
Edit: I wanted to do a loose sequel to E.V.O. one time but it was kind of HIGH CONCEPT and pissing all over the original in a way. Like doing a ridiculous sequel to a game only 10 people on the internet asked for and taking it in this bizarre direction (I had dreams like this when I was 10 I pissed myself off in my dreams[not ][/not] just imagining these game sequels that didn't resemble where the game designer would take it at all and would be shitting all over everyone's expectations and would make no MONEY sense at all e.g. a Clay Fighter sequel where the characters are traditional sprites) just like my dreams making fun of me for not being able to stretch my imagination that far even though it was imaginative in itself so I don't know
but god I just FOUND E.V.O. in a store one day no advertisements to announce it, possibly a little write-up in Nintendo Power. The name didn't tell me much either although the cover does a little better
Edit: can I just do a game with no coherent structure at all that just jumps from moment to moment and has no regard to spacetime like emotional/memory deteoration interpretation of how constantly resonant some game felt when you were 8/9/10. Although the soundtrack is still scary good even now I thought it would like sound artificial now and it does but it just makes it rawer than actual instruments pursues life dream of making a symphony that specifically calls for distortion boxes
