I won't be able to respond for a couple days, tomorrow I literally have class from 8 am to 10:45 at night with lunch and dinner breaks and after that I have a big paper due already. I'll probably have a lot to say. we're starting to discuss globalization, which I kind of hesitate to do but I think we'll be fine

OK thats cool. Also, something I forgot to mention, (though you already get the idea based on what I've said) I guess I'd like to forgo culture as a guide in morality/law entirely and use only the most logical ethics one can muster. Completely devoid of outside irrelevant elements. That is my basic point.

ethical considerations are completely absent in logic which makes it a pretty horrendous and absurd place to draw your morality from.

long story short: you are more influenced/shaped by culture than you seem to be aware of. it's not something you can just forgo, it's the language you speak, the symbols you unconsciously recognize and make associations with, it's completely ingrained in your psyche, etc etc etc.

everything is interdependent, no man is an island. Individuality, as most of us understand it, makes no sense in absence of society and society is impossible without a collectivity of individuals and culture is the glue which holds it all together.

Seems you're mistaking culture for nationalism (culturalism?). Just cause your have a culture, doesn't mean you have to dismiss other cultures.

Alright, fine. Not Logic ALONE. Logic plus a goal: "benefit The human race as a whole and not cause harm to life as a whole" (and possibly any other species that may come to be identified as self aware/sentient, admittedly, this looks like its relatively common). I understand that still can make things seem foggy. and even though I know I couldn't perfectly follow it to me it seems like to be the arguably most 'ethical' direction to go. Basically, does the action you are considering taking have a net 'positive' effect on the human race. (identify to the best of your abilities)

Sorry. I simplified it a bit. I should have gone into detail. and even this leaves a lot of stuff unexplained. Note that I don't believe I'm some sort of jedi-esque goody goody or think that everyone should be so. I act unethical plenty.  Though maybe now I'm stating the obvious...

please don't dilute the force of logic with wishy-washy humanist addendums...
abandon yourself to the inscrutable force of logic...
i will show you a breed of logic which is directly opposed to all human concerns...
it is called "X-LOGIC" and its provenence is vague...
you must master this shade of logic if you want to ascend the 5 plains (bug>human>muscular>saiyan>hypercube)...

i will show you the way to progress...

X-LOGIC is a powerful yet self-contained system of thought which consists of 999 infinitely adaptable heiroglyphs, these heiroglyphs define themselves with reference to central heiroglyph "Century" much as the integers we know define themselves with reference to the number 1... in this case all 999 heiroglyphs ("Century" is not included in this count - it is never approached directly - it is only seen thru combination/juxtaposition of specific derivatives - this is only way of maintaining its power) are "prime" in that they cannot be produced by combinations of any other heiroglyphs, although they may combine with those heiroglyphs to form "systems" or "vanes". the heiroglyphs themselves are arbitrary apart from their structural role - one may be substituted for "snake" or "gamma-rays" or any arbitrary representation as long as it obeys the rules given to that element, which in fact all parts of matter do... The 999 heiroglyphs form an infinite system and in fact any of these heiroglyphs can be used to define an infinite ring... the combination of all possible rings is called "century-ring" and defines the sum total of all structures... via strategic combinations of these heiroglyphs it is possible to form ABSOLUTE AND SYSTEMATIC representations of anything in this era and in fact anything beyond which is possible or "inconcieveable" to our interests... by constructing heiroglyph vane "probes" for experimental research into other possibilities of matter and unmatter we come across several startling truths concerning our place and possible place within the world... the 999 is a significant figure due to the connection of "9" with the god Ganesh who reappears several times within the X-LOGIC cosmology....

yeah, but I think since so much of our time is spent absorbed in screens and monitors, it's easier than ever to dismiss hometown culture and religion and still be without realizing it uhh a COCACOLAIST of the coca cola nation or a bud liteuanian of the anheuser-busch nation. I hate mum and pup for forcing me into christianity *downs a 7-11 big gulp of mountain dew code red, plays COD and WOW*

all we need now are seatbelts on our computer chairs so we can buckle up as we launch fullspeed toward singularity.

all of humanity will be hooked up to feeding tubes in a pod like the matrix but instead of a virtual world it'll just be our brains wired up to constantly stimulate orgasm while watching an algorithmically determined "most arousing thing" and its just a ambiguous flesh colored blob with some hair and another flesh colored rod entering it.

I actually normally like American Pepsi more than American Coke. But I've yet to try Mexican Pepsi. So right now Mexican coke is the best as far as I can tell.

Yeah I tried Pepsi throwback. Better than both regular, but I did not think it was better than Mexican Coke. If Pepsi throwback is just as good mexican pepsi, then i guess my preference when it come too real sugar colas has changed. Thing is its possible I might like Mexican Pepsi more if only because its not in a can or plastic bottle, which does seem to effect the taste. or it could be all in my head.

Pepsi Raw was pretty nice, but I can't find it anywhere now. It is meant to be ORGANIC PEPSI. Had a really distinct taste.
