yo I played earthbound when it came out too and I was a kid. the scene with poo on the mountain was traumatic.
I like SU a ton, but Clarence is a better rep of my childhood and the experience of being a kid in general.
I like gumball too, but it's annoying a lot. too much yelling. some of it's kinda childhoodesque, but there's too much youtube and smart phones generation-garbage stuff
yeah it's hit or miss just saying when it's good it's p good
also as far as too much youtube it is weird but I think they're going for sort of idealized version of childhood with no regard to what generation's childhood it is. Like for some reason youtube exists but video games are still stuck in 16-bit era. like whatever stuf they thought was best about every decade fuck incongruity/anachroncity
funny thing is my nephew, like my bro can't afford/is too worried nephew would break a playstation 4 or whatever, so it's this weird incongruity where he's playing my old super nintendo and/or emulators on an HDTV. tried to get him to watch pete and pete reruns on youtube but he thought it was boring. he likes earthbound a lot though although he never got to said Poo on the mountain scene/other traumatic scenes. Sometimes the games won't save either, surprised some still save at all. I thought lithium batteries were only supposed to last like 20 years or less
what gumball needs is like old internet/computer stuff even though youtube exists for some reason? Like no call of duty etc. he plays original counter-strike like a boss/random shareware
