Told you

According to that website obama has done a lot so far.
Sure, he's done a whole bunch of things. But the things that actually matter haven't been followed up on. The Patriot Act has been renewed, the Bush Tax Cuts have been extended, the TSA and DEA are still abusing people for no good reason, health care still sucks like hell and he didn't even allow single-payer to go up for a discussion, Guantanamo is still open for business and there's still a never ending war going on in Afghanistan (though to be honest, that's what he promised) as well as a secret war in Pakistan.

yeah I read a little about that

I guess theres been some shit going on with libya for awhile now? Something about the libya's leader stopping opposition to his regime or something and the US's excuse is defense of his people from him. Sounds alot like iraq tbh.

oh well don't care, don't see the point. I'm tired of this shit too tired to even think about it anymore.

yeah, that's what they said about rwanda. no one wanted to step in to prevent unspeakable acts there, either.

that's also what people said about Iraq, afghanistan, somalia, vietnam, nicaragua, etc.

For as bad as he is, Gaddafi hasn't killed a fraction of what the US averages in civilian casualties for their interventions

up to 10x as many civilians were killed in the rwandan genocide compared to seven years of the iraq war, likely over 20x compared to in afghanistan thus far and roughly the same as the 20 year vietnam war. can't find any figures on nicaragua or somalia. bear in mind the rwandan genocide lasted just 100 days. not really comparable!

IDK where you're getting those numbers, but if you include the sanctions the US led imperialism is responsible for over a million dead people in Iraq alone.

Gaddafi is not really comparable to Rawanda either, in fact this is much more comparable to Iraq, so I don't know what you're getting at here

actually I know exactly what you're getting at: you're a western centric parasite making hyperbolic comparisons to genocide in apology for western imperialist intervention in the 3rd world(which pretty much always results in a lot of people dying).

you are the same type of complacent first-world liberal filth who made the iraq war possible

okay

it's not like gaddafi has been actively killing his own people or anything, or that the situation has been born out of a popular uprising (this is the point of comparison)

edit: also gaddafi has described the rebels in exactly the same terms the hutu propaganda machine described the tutsi in 94. no coincidence

he is killing people in his country, I don't think anyone denies that... but understand your own politics: they're the exact same that led to the Iraq war(hyperbolic comparisons to genocide included).

Honestly that kind of imperialist cheerleading bullshit cannot be shamed enough because it's an intellectually bankrupt echo of the capitalist media which has repeatedly lulled people into complacency with the increasing militarization of society.
